Utah's Pagan Community Grows

Not sure how it is a throw away?

You're not sure why your position, which starts with the a priori existence of God and ends with the proof that something is worrisome because God exists, is bad for conversations that DON'T NECESSITATE that God be included? Really?

What I mean is, if I believe in God and therefore have worry for the souls of the great women, I'm not sure how to pretend God doesn't exist so I can no longer worry about them. Sorry, for the confusion.

I'm kind of disappointed in this thread. As a SF Giants fan, I thought it was going to be about Angel Pagan. When they traded for him, I thought "meh," but he's turned out to be the best lead-off hitter they've had in quite a while. Unfortunately, the Melk was tainted and Lincecum must be going through withdrawal. It's amusing, though, that their minor deals (Pence and Scutaro) are working out a lot better than the mega-deal the Dodgers made.

Too bad Scutaro wants to go back to the Rockies after season's end. Thanks for picking up the tab this year though.

There is a positive argument underneath what I'm saying (and, there are plenty of reasons to obfuscate and leave).

Roughly, my argument is that thinking about the function and consequences of judgment according to ex post facto dualisms of "good" and "bad" is both (a) boring and (b) inadequate. This is pretty clear in how you depotentialize any possible positive knowledge that is made within pagan communities.

Meaningless equivocation that can be simplified to "I appreciate it if you don't criticize something I like". I can literally make that argument about anything. You should never eat out, because you never know if you'll get food poisoning. You marked this student wrong? You shouldn't have because it can make him depressed, and we know where depression can lead. You shouldn't put your pants on one leg at a time, because you're discriminating between the legs.

In reality, criticizing someone's choices is perfectly valid. Society's acceptance of that ideal is absolutely essential for a working progressive system. Liberals are perfectly happy mocking and criticizing everything they don't like. But they jump on the bandwagon of tolerance as soon as something they agree with is mentioned in a non-positive light.

Link? I assume it's because he's tired and would rather have some extra time off than have to work through the playoffs...

Maybe. Rockies have a history of guys liking it there so I find that more believable, or just being caught up with emotion. He said it in a locker room interview 5 minutes after the deal was announced. Manager Tracy didn't even know the details when he was being interviewed.

Next year I'll be a free agent and hopefully I can come back here. I want to a part of this. This team will be good soon. We'll see what happens.

Man, the dude is clutch. I was in San Fran at the Giants/Dodgers games on Friday and Saturday. He's the ****.

The trade has been really good for him & I'm happy. It has to feel good having a leading team wanting your services, & the Rockies most likely telling him they were going nowhere this year but would love to have him back next season. This new badass Josh Rutledge is going to stop any Scutaro return though.

Yeah, Rutledge looked good last night, dammit.

I think you misunderstand the theory of perception you're citing. Before I proceed, let me make sure we're talking about the same thing. Are you talking about this:

After doing some research and reading a lot about this the past 24 hours or so, in my opinion, it's not the same thing or even close to the same thing. I love science and perception (quantum mostly.) hehepeepeecaca

criticizing them how? who decides that those are valid ways to criticize? Are these so-called valid ways appropriate at all times? When aren't they? Who decides this? This is twice you've mentioned "progress" -- progress is always relative to certain values -- which values? Who decides these? What the **** does this have to do with liberals?

There are several good reasons for exploding a close-minded discussion and leaving no trace of a logical way forward. But, that's not what I'm doing here. Instead, waiting for you to agree to the fact that, by your own logic, judgment can only be said to be good or bad ex post facto. And, moreover, I'm waiting to see a glimmer from you that this is a limited way to think about judgment.
