Another Syrian shell lands in Turkey and Turkey again returns fire. How long before Turkish and Syrian (or even worse Iranian) forces directly engage each other?

Is when really important? The whole world as always wants us to go into battle since WW2 as long as it does not benefit us. Like entering Iraq and kicking PKK ace. We did it, US said get out, and we did. Pawn work. Simple as that.

As for the NATO opt., we've done that before, NATO doesn't give a flying **** when it is our own problem. I think we are on our own on this'ne. As it always have been.
 
IS Romney really the guy you want to lead us right now? Another massive war is just what this country needs to get back on track!

Why does Russia back Syria so adamantly? Is this a Circassian thing? If so then why not Turkey as well?

Turkey is just protecting their border at this point. What reason does Syria have to escalate? Try to get Russia involved protecting Assad?

If the rebels are truly receiving supplies and safe heavens from TUrkey then that actively works agaisnt the Syrian government. Stopping that would greatly benefit the Syrian government. Also perhaps getting Turkey involved in a straight up war would guarantee that Iran steps in. Could Syria be gambling that it won't escalate past a Turkey/rebels v. Syria gov/Iran war and that Iran trumps Turkey?

We are spreading ourselves too thin trying to maintain peace and control. Why dont we tell Japan to arm up & strongly suggest they go bff with South Korea, while planting one nuke on the DMZ. Then wethreaten to invade Russia if they step out of line. I'm tired of this middle east religious fighting b.s. & having to walk on eggshells because of what's on the other side. Might as well arm brazil while we are at it too. It's either that or pull out of everything and let the world light itself on fire. Saving all that money from overseas bases would pay for a helluva lot of fighter jets & carriers. No D-Day this time around.

I agree that the US needs to drastically reduce all the locations our troops and resources are in.
 
The only thing that benefits Turkey from this war would be to end PKK presence in Syria. PKK controls six cities in Northern Syria. Since early 90's Syria aided PKK against Turkey. A generation that has witnessed total war is totally different from another generation that has not. One tries everything to stay away, the other jumps right into it with false hopes. Our society is trying to survive through a big time eclipse of reason. No sane person desires war, but maybe a war for a non war experienced society is the key to getting born from it's ashes awarenesswise.

We still control what Japan does with their armies. I think it's been long enough and they've become peaceful enough to turn sovereignty back over. Let the Asians fight the Asians, the Europeans the middle east, and we will worry about Russia while telling sudamerica to man up or they might feel some serious fallout.

I don't hate American people. I just feel sorry for their population's dominant part that have no idea what's going on.

I took it as you meaning that it is all down in cooperation between America, Europe and our Asian allies (phillipines, Vietnam, Japan, Australia and S. Korea). I can see wars here and there but not as a concentrated global effort.
