being non mainstream musician as most of them at that time he did not have insurance. Fans and other metal bands bands raised over $100k to help him with surgery costs. Nobody was doing life saving surgery without money, nobody. When after 2 years tumor reccured they offered another surgery which he could not afford this time. He was send home from the hospital after treatment with experimental chemo drug and died at home next day - you can just imagine what condition he was, yet hospital kicked him out home because of money.
In Canada we do have options for private MRI, US or CT scans if we do not want to wait. 6 month wait period for free MRI for serious condition like brain tumors is a lie. You get it done fast if it is necessary.
Well it is nor free right? You pay of insurance.
Not true. From my personal experience and experience of numerous friends who went to ER it is more like 2-4hrs.

From 100 Czech and Estonian chicks over 80% will be hot. In USA if it is over 20%, you lucky.
Luckily for me, choosing one out of approximately 25,000,000 hotties wasn't depressing.

what reports? please post link. Different provinces may have different waiting times as well as different cities and hospitals. Don't tell me that if you went to ER in USA with non life threatening injury/ilness that you are seen right away and do not need to wait.
I was thinking of Medicaid and VA. Before you go off about taxes, how do you think Canadian healthcare is funded?
Everything I find has Medicare included and Medicare parts B, C and D have monthly premiums so I do not want to count them.
In 2008 Medicaid alone had about 49 million enrollees. Add VA to that.

And that's what really matters. If a Canadian doesn't like it, move to America. If an American prefers the Canadian system, teleport there.
This is why I prefer more of our taxes staying more local/regional and less federally controlled programs. I'd prefer the opportunity to choose a local government that suits my needs without having to wish the whole country would suddenly change course.
