Let's say we trade Millsap...

... who / or what draft picks do you think we can get back in return? And with what team?

With the growth of Derrick Favors and how we're still dependent on Jefferson's scoring, there is a fair chance Millsap is traded before the trade dateline this season. I know Jefferson is possibly one of the worst defensive Center in the game today, but you'll have Favors next to him to negate that some what.

So what's Millsap's trade value at the trade dateline this season?

I personally think a team like Washington or Sacramento with a lot of young pieces could use a guy like Millsap.. so may be a 1st round pick from either of them I'd be happy with.

We all know that Millsap sees himself as a starter, but is he on most teams? Maybe he is, but I have often said not for a contender. If he goes to the Lakers, um, actually the Lakers could probably use him right now, their depth is so SO thin, but he'd still come off the bench behind Howard and Gasol. Who starts at the 3; Peace or Millsap? I don't know the answer. He would be dynamite coming off the bench for them though.

Of cource we'd have to hate him if he went there, and they have litterally nothing we want that they'd be willing to trade, so to heck with that. However..... What if they gave us something of value and they took both Millsap AND roger? Save us some money and open up some space while we still get one of their picks from another team or something? Unfortunatley, the salaries wouldn't be close with us sending over over 10 mil in salaries, so no, it aint happening.

Back to the point (i'm scatter brained today) If we trade him to a contender, he comes off the bench, if we trade him to a lottery team he might start. That determines to some degree the value we get back.

I like Thornton, but he is a chucker. If he was on the Jazz, he would rank 3rd in FGA, and he only plays 28 mpg for the Kings.

Good evening, this is trade dateline news.

I have a bad feeling that teams won't pay for Milsap what the Jazz think Milsap's worth and then Milsap will just walk out on us come the end of the year.

This is probably the most likely scenario. Jefferson is the same also IMO.

But hopefully they realize this year we won't have a chance at contending and get some value out of Millsap or Jefferson. Whoever brings back the most.

The only way a crappy team, who has no chance of making the playoffs, is going to want Millsap is if we take a bad contract of their hands.

Millsap + Jazz pcik for bad contract + unprotected pick.

Why would the Kings want Millsap? Didn't they just draft Robinson, who is a lot like Millsap.
I think hottnick is thee jazz fans alt.
why?
