I have never had one of those team flags that you fly on the window of your car. The UK athletic dept just sent me four of them that are UK National Champs flags.

I was curious so I went out and put 4 on my car. Stepped back and thought, "I'd look like a total tool." So I took 3 of them off and kept 1.

I still wasn't quite sure, so I just took a little test drive to the gas station at the end of my neighborhood. The whole way I felt like a girl.
However, I noticed EVERYONE I passed was checking it out .. and I DO like attention, so I'm conflicted.

Are the flags, ghey, just okay, or TOTALLY RAD????!!??!?

btw,

Whey ghey, whatever that means.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

You've come to the right place. I consider myself an expert in the field.

I hate Kentucky, but you seem like a nice guy so I'm willing to help.

I've been flying car flags on Utes gamedays for years and it is an underrated joy in life.

For football games I put em up the day before and leave them on til Tuesday if we win. For basketball games I usually just use them to wipe the tears streaming down my face.

Now that you know I'm an expert this is VERY VERY important you listen to what I'm about to say...

You don't want to be a single flag guy. It just looks weird and like you are half ***'ing it. Seriously, I'd rather be flagless than rock a single flag.

You might not be ready for a quad box (that's 4 flags at once) but two flags, one on each back window, should do you fine. Then, for big wins, bust out the quad box.

I'm a two flag guy but quad box to and from Ute home games.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

Would rep every line if I could.

Honest answer.

What do you think? Are you comfortable with it? Do you think it is cool?

If the answer is yes then fly that flag and never look back. The opinions others have of us is drastically over rated. Those that are your friends and important will be there for you flag or no flag.

If you are in Utah or any other place 'cept Kentucky, then **** it. Put up all four and troll the eff outta the haters.
If someone looks at you funny, flip them off and stick your tongue out as if you were licking a woman's naughty bits.

If you're in Kentucky, stay classy, people around you are most likely fans as well--you're among your own people.
Keep 1 if you must tucked in a rear-passenger window. And if you're gonna go with 1, you keep it in the rear.
Personally I think just a team license plate is much classier and a much bolder, yet understated, look.

Ignore all the above cuz all bets are off if ur in the hood. No flags, unless you want them broken off. Maybe exchange them at the corner for some crack. Crack is king where you live. Remember that.

Awesome answer. Better than I expected.

I can tell from the building and sky he's somewhere in the St. George area.

Yes, I'm that good.

You are an amazing person.

I will take pictures of the proper way to rock car flags shortly. Stay tuned...

Staying tuned.

I get that. But that was a totally ghey answer. BUT, I'm with ya anyway!

I have a team plate. Subtle. Just blue and white, says UNIVERSITY of KENTUCKY on the top and ALUMNI on the bottom.
Great post, btw, HH.

i live in Idaho where every one is high on the boise state broncos. It is defintally possible to be Obnoxious with the team decor. i think game day it is always appropreite to fly flags, heck you can fly multiple flags. during the season you can always fly one, but when there isnt anything going on put the flags away, wash them, iron them, starch them, and get them ready for next year.

They're not tacky like bumper stickers, redneck flag front license plates, those nasty rear bumper ball sacks, girl high school team painting all over SUV windows, or t-shirts from places you've visited or with stupid cutsie sayings like "I'm With Stupid".

They annoy the hell out of me because BYU held a couple games on work nights this season and I-15 was packed with a) jackass Idahoans & b) jackass Idahoans with BYU car window flags. Between them and a 2.5 hour drive home I just can't stand those damn things.

I definitely don't think there's a right or wrong answer.

For my personality, I'll probably fly two on game days, quads for tournament games, and NEVER fly one on a non game day.

It might be gay PKM but it is still the right answer. Personally I won't fly a flag like that. I may hang a broncos or jazz flag in a game room but outside I'd only hang the American flag. That's just me though.
