Losing Interest

It's the games where they don't seem to care one way or another. They don't care about each other. They don't have any pride. They are all out their trying to get theirs so they look good when it's time to go to a new team or sign a new contract. Maybe that's not reality, just me and my pessimistic outlook. I read a book last night instead of watching the game. I really don't feel like I missed anything.

There's never going to be another NBA team I root for. I want the Jazz to win. But I think I'm loosing interest in the NBA altogether. It's like watching reruns of Ally McBeal for me, as in it's painfully bad.

I think I'll mostly watch home games as I ween myself off the Jazz entirely.

I'm losing interest in the NBA in general but I think the problem with people is their expectations. We have such a young team and everybody wants to see this team grow quickly, but its going to take a few years before we really see what this team is made of. Keep calm and Jazz on.

LOL, you're so predictable.

Trade Jefferson/Millsap.

And do something which fans have been wanting for 2 years now, PLAY AND DEVELOP THE YOUNG KIDS!

Remember those OKC comparisons? When will we start to play like OKC and play guys like Burks, Kanter, Favors, major and meaningful mins?

You calling someone else predictable. That is awesome.

Would rep if I felt like clicking a button.

My expectations are for the team to hustle, and that the coach will play the players who do hustle. This is the opposite of what is actually happening. I think that's why people are losing interest, myself included.

This team is just not very compelling right now. We lost our star player, and the players who still have potential to be stars are all stuck in bench roles.

It's not a pleasant situation for anyone. Corbin holds so many players' careers in his hands right now that it's no wonder we're seeing such strange rotations. KOC/Lindsey need to make moves that establish a direction and focus for this roster. Something they can sell to fans, because right now everyone just feels lost.

Despite all the problems and things I do not like I am going to watch every game that I possibly can. Go Jazz!

I've been following the Jazz for nearly 20 years, but this team and coach have just flat out deflated my interest. I recall when I couldn't wait for the next Jazz game and now I don't even care. The board here reflects that as well, as there is so much personal banter and so little Jazz talk, at least Jazz talk of any substance. I'm really discouraged and I guess I need to find a new outside interest. This whole Burks thing was the last straw, as I've posted before, the Jazz have not done a good job of developing players and to see the same things happen every night without any adjustments drives me batty. It's like when we had Boozer and Memo -- both good players but not complementary -- and now the same with Al and Sap. Well, everyone has been seeing this for a long time, as we did with the former pair, and yet management has not acted to fix the situation. It's very frustrating.

being a jazzfan is not the easiest thing. but you need a few sidekicks along the road to ease the pain.

I know, I'm also a beşiktaş fan.

Maybe a lot of this has to do with the players and how most become free agents after this year. Therefore, they don't really see themselves as a long term plan and then don't really put much effort to give it all out there.
I think what'll help is when we get a core that's multi-year gauranteed. Hopefully that'll start next year.

I lived and breathed the Jazz for so long and now, I don't really even care anymore. It's a bizarre feeling. I haven't felt invested in anything since the 2010-11 season. Maybe it was how everything blew up in early 2011 - Sloan's resignation, Williams being traded - but I just haven't been able to really get into it since. Even last year, during the playoffs, it just felt different. The whole franchise feels different to me. I think it really started when Larry died.

Even tonight, which I think might be the first game I've actually seen live footage of this season, I didn't get excited or nervous at the end - I didn't care.

I feel so lost right now!

I would bet anything i own.
that if for some reason big al misses 8-12 games., jazz would play the best exciting basketball.
and everyones interest would be up

(assuming favors kanter sap are not missing games due to injury)

@addictionary @Jazzyapma Being a Besiktas fan is not that bad actually these days. Samet Aybaba knows what he is doing.
But Besiktas Kanseri never ends beyler..
Her ihtimale karsi raki sofrasini kaldirmayin. :)

Sizlerin de Besiktasli olmasi hos bir surpriz oldu bu arada.

Have some of the same feeling as others in this thread. Been a fan for about 20 years. Have bought League Pass every year for like the last 8 to watch Jazz, but this year watching less and less and dont even really care if they lose to much (perhaps some of this is so we can get a high draft pick this year :) ) I admit there is another team I am watching a lot of this year. They are about to get really exciting when an injured player comes back. Would prefer to see the young guys play. Last night almost at the very end of the game all 5 guys on the floor will be free agents next year. Hard to get into the Jazz when the team may be very different next year.

It's the Wolves, isn't it?

This team hasn't been as exciting as previous teams and I think I know how to fix it.

Let's trade Al Jefferson and Millsap to the Lakers for Gasol and Sacre.

We can start Gasol and Favors.

So what Big Al doesn't fit a D'Antonio offense. I just want to see a truly skilled big man on our team.
