Best salsa that I can buy at the store?

I need something that's either really awful or really good. No inbetweeners. I used Google, but the womanly sites I was directed to were recommending Pace brand so I immediately discounted everything else they said.

^^ Good call.

I eat stuff hotter than anyone I've ever known so I am constantly looking for HOT but good tasting salsa.

Haha....my gameplan was to go ultra hot if I didn't get any suggestions. That's how I eat too. I put Jalapenos and hot sauces on almost everything I eat during the day. There are a few other mouths to take in consideration though, but they won't be seeing the salsa in the bottle so they won't even know what hits them.

Take 5 minutes out of your life, buy some fresh produce and make some yourself

Naw. Life is better when you just admit you are 1/2 a person and can't do certain things well. I am absolutely terrible at cooking/preparing food, and it's not for lack of trying. It's like gift wrapping. I still can't wrap a present properly and I have been shown how to a billion times. You get a present from me, you know it's from me before you even open it.

Whenever I buy canned salsa, I just look at the sugar content. Anything over 1 gram of sugar is going to be nasty.

If you are local go get some from Red Iguana then

That's better. I'm not in SLC so I can't go there, but there are a few salsas that I like at some restaurants around here so I maybe I should call them and see if they'll sell me a few gallons worth or something.

Just dice up some tomatoes, throw in some cilantro, garlic, lime juice, onions, salt, pepper, sugar, etc, etc, bam bam bam! Easy breezy.

@J_F - Love that stuff, cook with it at least a couple times per week.

I drink it.

You don't even have to use garlic, just use garlic salt.

AND DON'T PUT SUGAR IN IT!!! THAT **** IS GROSS!!!

Basically all you need is onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, lime juice, cilantro, and garlic salt.

Ya she forgot about the jalapenos. I still think fresh garlic is better though. You are right about the sugar though. Yuk!

Im all about homemade salsa. I try adding different types of peppers though to change it up a little.

You can control the heat by leaving in the jalapeno seeds or taking them out too.
