Project Euler

Some of those look like fun.

They start out being largely programming that can be done with "brute force", but then (around 50-80 problems in) they kind of switch to requiring a good knowledge of math to figure out how you should write your programs so that they will finish in less than your lifetime. :) Consequently I've learned a lot of number theory in the last two months!

This seems like something you would like. I didn't realize how much Colton would be into it though.

I got a B.S. in Math in addition to my degree in physics, and have always enjoyed programming. So it's a pretty good fit... although people with an even better math background are definitely at an advantage for the higher numbered problems.
 
What does a friend key do?

Took me two tries to get #1. How embarrassing. "Less than" isn't explicitly inclusive, duh. RIF.
