The BIG-Al hate

This Guy is a Top 5 Big in the NBA, every team would love to have a BIG presence in the paint like AL. This guy has amazing foot work and his jumper is magnificent for a guy his size. Also why is so much hatred around this guy ?

if you think that he is so good, why he played only one time in playoffs and was abused there?

Fify. There are more parts that need to fix but ill just stick with this one.

This is excellent news! What could we get for him out on the market?

I don't hate him just don't want him on the team anymore. He does more harm then hood for this jazz team, and doesn't fit what the jazz are trying to do.

I'm glad this thread exists. I hope it becomes the corner of Jazzfanz's offense.

Why the Big Al hate?

Because we have Kanter and Favors.

If we had Ostertag and Big Country Reeves as our only backups to Millsap and Jefferson then I can see the justification for playing both our starters 30+ mins. All of a sudden Big Al's Boozer-like defense, horrid shooting, and weak offensive game wouldn't be so bad.

The fact of the matter is that we have two top 3 draft picks who aren't getting enough PT. One, in particular, is a franchise type player. He's a complete game changer. Both our starters are older and on expiring contracts. Both will demand a hefty pay raise. So why are we wasting our time with them (at least 1 if not will leave after their contracts expire) instead of focusing on two young players?

It's mind boggling.

btw, Big Al isn't even close to being top 5.

Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Lamarcus Aldrich, David West, Roy Hibbert (you know, the guy that looked like Shaq against Big Al), Dirk Nowitski, Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol, Big Z (again, looked great against us), Blake Griffin, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Gortat, Joakim Noah, Brook Lopez, and Derrick Favors are all bigs who are better than Big Al. I just thought of those guys off the top of my head. There are probably more that I'm missing.

Way to ignore half the game. Nicely done.

This!

And because he doesn't play defense. And because he holds onto the ball too long most of the time. And because he hardly ever gets to the line. And because he doesn't like contact. And because he gets too tired too fast to get out and run with everyone else.

And again, because we have Kanter and Favors who need to play. Get rid of Al & watch these other guys come on strong.

Al has his good points as Stoked pointed out. But he isn't right for this team.

If big al is top 5 why has he never been to an allstar game, why has he only been a first round exit in the play offs? he is a one dementional player. he gets he points and rebounds.... but lets be honest if i was 6'11 i could get 17 points and 10 rebounds too.... atleast i think i could lol... especially when i am saving energy by not playing D.

Oh...you mean the one time he made the playoffs.

he isnt very motivated... just making it to the playoffs was a enough for him i guess...... he isnt competitive, i bet if he actually cared he would be a tad bit better. but he just dosnt have a winning competitive personality... that is one of my major beefs with him... the dude just acts like he dose not care. he gets destroyed by hibbert and says he really just could not get into it after missing 5 shots... bench his ***!!! is that a top 5 big man... "i suck to night i will just not try" who says that? i paraphraized of course but thats what i heard.

It's because he's junk. Fool's gold. See Locke's rant about Antawn Jamison and explain to me how it doesn't apply to Al. He had a chance to prove he could be a scorer and contributor on a winning team, and went ahead and proved all the naysayers right as ****.

Boston took Indianapolis to 7 games in round 1 2005, Al's rookie year. FYI JF.

Fans cannot or intentionally refuse to see the value Jefferson has to the Jazz's success. Which is fine. More and more what he is doing that I appreciate is absorbing so much of the inevitable deluge of fan negativity which every team has to deal with. As long as Al is on the team the young bigs are relatively inviolate and in particular, free from the pressure of carrying the team.

Merry Christmas, Al.

Cool technicality, bro. That he averaged under 20 mpg and 6 ppg on 41% shooting can't have had any relevance. Or that it was the first round and Indy wasn't very good and had a record one game separate from Boston.

But yeah, BIG AL carried that team to mediocrity on his back and 6.7 ppg. Let's extend him.

One of your weakest posts I've ever seen. Sad. Rooks selected outside the lottery aren't typically expected to "carry" a team, as I am sure you know very well. Hope you have a good end of the world day, Numbs.
