Following potential 2013 draftees

PKM,

Bennett could play the 3 at the next level? How's his ability to defend NBA 3's and his ability to create his own shot/penetrate/attack the rim?

Mediocre, imo. Poythress would be putting up Bennett numbers if Calipari let him play for PF, but knows he needs to hone is SF skills.

I like Bennett, a lot .. a whole lot, but he's a tweener, for sure.

Ugh...I ****ing hate tweeners, unless they have all-world skills like Royce White.

Haha ..

Actually, I don't mind tweeners, as long as they have superior skills to take advantage of the 50/50 matchup .. and they are all-motor-all-the-time guys.

Some good reasons to avoid tweeners in the 6'7" 6'8" range regardless of how well they look in college. Their games rarely translate. At best you get a serviceable player, but more likely a bust. The last one to make an all star game was Antawn Jamison in 2005.

https://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/4248/al-farouq-aminu (8th pick 2010)
https://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3418/michael-beasley (2nd pick 2008)

Common traits: weak rebounding, dislikes contact, no playmaking skills, shaky jumper
Conclusion: Its almost always better to draft a pure undersized PF like Millsap or Faried who rebounds like a beast rather than a hybrid.

In comparing Jones and Poythress I would say that Jones is a guy who is clearly not a three in the NBA. When I watch Poythress it's clear to me that although he could be a solid college four, his NBA position is three, hands down.

I agree.

Burke with a solid game... Didn't shoot that great but the last 3 shots he took he missed as they ran the clock down.

19 - 5 - 5 - 3 steals
7/19 shooting

I swear he had 2 other assists late that didn't get registered.

Take a look at Aminu's rebounding numbers lately. I think 9 of his last 12 games have been double digit rebounds. Crazy stuff.
