How long before Corbin changes the starting lineup? Does he think that all of a sudden starting Tinsley, Foye, Ma. Williams, Millsap, and Jefferson is going to produce different results?

*may or may not have really been said by Einstein. Probably not.

You would think by now that it would be pretty obvious to Ty that the starting lineup is not working.
Yet every night it's the same lineup, same results. Doesn't matter what team we play against, good or bad, still the same. It's a vicious cycle that just doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon.

Playing. It. Safe.

Ty is okay with a conservative FO .. He's coaching for paychecks, not championships.

I remember when the Nuggets traded Antheny, didn't they go on a tear after the trade? I think the same thing would happen with us. Also think the starting lineup could be fixed by putting Al on the bench, except then our bench would suck.

Addition by subtraction.

OK, I agree. Not let us get some actually ideas in here instead of PMSing.

Maybe switch Favors adn Carrol into the starting 5?

Big Al, Favors, Marvin, Carroll and Jamaal start ing 5 and then Kanter, Millsap, Marvin, Hayward and Burks as the 2nd unit?

Did you mean to play Marvin Williams all 48 minutes?

That's the wrong question. The question is not "different results", but "optimal results". If you are already acheiving what you think are optimal results, why would you want something different?

I'm assuming you meant to include Foye instead of Marvin with that second group, but I will go ahead and say the team you have coming in as subs beats the team you have starting all day every day.

Jazz won by 14. I don't get what the problem is. Are we expecting Corbin to start someone else on Ilyasova or something? Millsap and Marvin are the only two guys on the roster capable of slowing him down. The guy has been hot lately too. Jazz contained him well enough.

Corbin was down to one point guard. Tinsley had to start with Burks running the second unit against Beeno.

So we're left with Carroll over Foye??? Tinsley-Carroll-Marvin? That's not going to spread the floor very well for the set offense game plan. Carroll played 33 minutes anyway.

Hmmmm... I'm starting to wonder if a trade makes some sense??? Whatchya guys think?

Yes this. See above One Brow. Simple mistake.

If Corbin believes this than he needs to be removed immediately.

I LoLed. Nice.

I think it's best for Hayward, Carroll, Favors and Kanter to get as few minutes with Al (and Marvin) as possible. I'd rather have the young/energy players playing together than having the life sucked out of them playing with Marvin and Al.

THen you are onboard with the way that Ty has the units? Lineup only, not talking time of play or anything like that.

I'm pretty sure that we all agree that getting down by ~10 pts in the first quarter like we have the past ~7 games in a row that I've watched is not optimal. And I assume even Corbin agrees with that.

Than by the logic of this thread Corbin is insane. Get him in a straight jacket stat!
