Jarrett Jack or Eric Bledsoe

Stifle Tower

Punch Bowl Re-Filler
Jack has turned into a pretty decent PG and he'll be an UFA this summer.

Should the Jazz just hang on to Millsap, giving them a chance to re-up Paul this summer? Then they can go after Jack or another PG, or even resume trade talks with the LA Clippers for Bledsoe.

If I had to bet, I'd wager this is exactly what Utah will do. LA is hesitant to trade Bledsoe until they're certain CP3 will re-sign, For all we know, Stern's parting gift may be to facilitate a way for CP3 to merely switch locker rooms and join Kobe and Dwight. Stern will strong arm some team like Charlotte into taking Pau and MWP. Has Jordan officially announcced his retirement? Perhaps a Pau for MJ deal would work; those salaries should just about match up.

Seriously, if/when CP3 re-signs with LAC, the price for Bledsoe would lilkely go down a bit...and Bledsoe will be pressuring them for a trade.

Cy is going with Jack.

Edit: I didn't notice that Cy already picked Bledsoe, which ruins the joke. :(

Jarret Jack is my dream back-up. He isn't starter worthy for a contending team. That is all.

Purely on a right now basis Jack > Bledsoe, but obviously Bledsoe has a ton more potential.

News Flash: CP3, Rondo, Irving or Lillard is not walking through that Jazz door anytime soon. We would be lucky to have Jack if we can't get Bledsoe.

Jazz only hopes for another elite PG is through the Draft. Its not even a guarantee that Bledsoe becomes that player.

This thread was done so so wrong.

Jack is a good second option IF we cant get Bledsoe.
My real point (pun intended) was the Jazz MIGHT be able to get a PG next season while still keeping their options open re: Millsap. FO will certianly make that part of the equation. I also believe KOC and the Clips will have a conversation about the Jazz trading for Beldsoe during the off-season if LA truly does not want to let Eric go before they re-sign CP3.

With the train wreck that has become of the Lakers (never thought I'd say that), CP3 is more likely to remain with the Clippers than switch LA teams. However, he and Dwight could very well team up and decide to go to Houston together, for example.

BTW, whatever happened to "TuffTiger" (I think that was his name) from the old board? He was pimpin' Jack hard before the draft. I think he then went on a mission. Did he reincarnate under a different name on this board?

But he won't.

I think it's a consensus around here now that if we miss out on Bledsoe, we go hard for Trey Burke.

Burke has the potential to surpass Jack.

But he won't.
He and Kobe aren't getting along very well. I think Howard is going to sign elsewhere. That extra year doesn't really matter. Any team that signs him will do so with the "understanding" the monetary difference can be tacked on to his next contract.

Knowing Dwight, he'll sign the full 5 year max contract, then demand a trade elsewhere.
