Flip Saunders on MIKE AND MIKE this morning tells the world that the Jazz wont make the playoffs. He saysthat he has studied the rest of the years games for Houston LALA and Utah and that he says Houston will win 46,LALA GETS 44,AND jAZZ win 43.So the JAZZ go fishing with HOUSTON and the Lakers getting 7th and 8th seed.Do you agree with the Flipster? I agree,Corbin will stick with Al,and we will lose on the road so often that it will be time to get those fishing trip plans arranged.I am hoping the Jazz make the playoffs ,but if they do Big Al gets signed in the offseason and that kills me.P.S. THE REFS are freaking giving the Lakers every call the rest of the way,so the league is on board with making this happen.

If we make the playoffs or if we do not, is only relevant to the Millers. I say this because if we limp into the playoffs in the 7th or 8th seed I beleive we will be swept once again. Why do I say this? historical evidence. We haven't really changed that much from last year. the millers stand to make more money if we are swept, so they would prefer this option.

The Lakers are threatening right now. This will be interesting. It could happen. We are no lock to go. I wonder how the FO will feel about Corbin and the line ups then. Its a disaster if we take a step back and miss the playoffs. I think ot would be a hard sell that this is all part of the process.

Well said.

If Corbin continues to ride this starting lineup, and continues to play Marvin, Tinsley, and Watson over more productive players, then.... yes.... I can see us missing the playoffs quite easily.

Yes it is possible and that pisses me off. The Jazz have the talent to be so much more than struggling to stay in the playoff hunt. They should be challenging Memphis, Denver and the Clips for 4-6. Not hoping that Houston and the Lakers fall off so they squeak into the playoffs.

I hope Corbin doesn't change a th g the rest of the year.

It's the only way to get rid of Al and Corbin.

I've already said multiple times we'll go on an ugly skid that will have even the apologists calling for Corbin's head. Then we'll end on a huge tear where we look almost unstoppable. Everyone, even the Corbin haters, will jump for excitement for the playoffs and think we may pull an upset. We'll be out in five or less and repeat the same thing next year.

The only realistic chance we have of getting rid of Corbin is if he's selected by the Vatican as the next Pope.

fixed twice
you can choose which one you prefer

not me i am consitent i have no short term memory loss.
but i know what you mean 2-3 good (home)games and people are on the bandwagon saying we have turned a corner, or corbin has learned. or al has improved. or whatever

The Rockets just lost to the Wizards. As long as the Jazz beat who they are suppose to beat, and win games at home, we will make the playoffs.

I've watched Kobe scoring 38 against Mavs and adding 12 rebounds and 7 assists (might be wrong) to that with a 14 point 4th quarter. And each time he scored a three or performed some defense, his chin was out as he was giving that look. Lakers look like they need time but does Kobe have that time should be the question for this year's LA. Since the early fail, I still thought they could make it. The Jazz doesn't look good for making it at this point but have a better win ratio that surpasses the performance. Hopefully it will bring some benefit to this thing. Rockets on the other hand are the stars of the West so far for me. Amazing perimeter and ball movement team that gives the opposition an anxious WTF?!? to lose the game before they know what the hell is going on.

Doubt Corbin would be fired. He's paid for and the Millers would hate to just throw away money. On the other hand, maybe they can "Brailleroad" him: i.e. just tell him to stay home next season instead of coming to the ESA.

I'm kind of hoping the Jazz DO miss the playoffs. Might be the ONLY way to convince them NOT to re-sign Al or Paul and Randy, etc. I am SO tired of seeing the same starting 5 dig a quick 10-pt hole in the 1st quarter. Besides, a 14th pick may have some value when combined with the 20th pick from the W's. Could use those to move up and grab a good young big to put in the rotation behind Favors and Kanter or a quality PG.
