I'm saying that it doesn't make any sense to call it a minor success for KOC if Hayward turns out better than someone drafted before him because O'Connor has nothing to do with who was chosen before it was his turn to pick. By your logic there were an awful lot of minor successes the year the Clips drafted Olowakandi. It was a Clipper fail, not a victory by anybody else.

thats a good question,
i think young is more valuable, he is really talented, but while u have wall, u can give away young if u get something good in return, i would use young to get another top pick in this years draft, in addition to their pick. im sure cavs would be interested in giving their clippers pick

Okay that is what I meant, it's just my opinion of a minor success due to the others failing more is what was in question. I guess I'm just an optimistic in that if that happens I can say well at least KOC isn't as bad as <insert GM name>

I think Turner will still be a pretty good player. Right now, the Sixers aren't a great fit - too many guys on that team (Iggy, Thaddeus Young) who are scorers, slashers and not shooters. Turner's a 2 who needs to handle the ball alot - like a Brandon Roy. and with the players surrounding him (their PG's Holliday and Williams also dominate the ball-handling) - that can't happen.

From this day forward, I'd take Hayward. I'm a George fan too, and he has had better stats (and a longer leash), but Hay's recent run is no fluke.

I've been touting him as a future Allstar and star since before the start of his second season. He's starting to develop into a more aggressive offensive player. You don't see him passing up open layups anymore. Also he has improved his ball handling skills from last year, and I'm hopefull he'll have another such improvement next year, which would make him our Harden type player.

Its funny that his team is pretty darn good for a guy that sucks. Whats this, his third year?

Also if you go back and look, I didnt have many power forwards to choose from. The only questionable guys I passed up were Webber and Kemp. Hardly a huge mistake passing them up. All the greats were taken at that point. Bigs were flying off the board.
