Travis Leslie:D-League Call up. WTH?

I think its fairly obvious that Murphy has no future. Leslie is at least an athlete that can get out in the open court and finish and should be an ok defender. I dont think this move matters at all, but hey maybe hes a baller and we are just scooping him up before anyone else tries to.

Whenever Murphy gets into the game he gets the ball and puts up a terrible shot ASAP. You don't make the NBA that way.

Kay, Locke basically said he hasn't shot well up until his last month in the D-League and that he's very intrigued and he's a good rebounder. Says this is a vintage KOC move to get a guy in March rather than waiting until July and having someone else take him. Locke said the FO is telling him "no comment" about whether they cut someone or came to a deal with Roger.

just watched the D-League All-Star game youtube video... wow. The only thing worse than than the defense at NBA all-star games is the defense at D-League all-star games.

Is there a better diamond-in-the-rough-finder than Kevin O'Connor??

People, please start naming names.

Millsap, Evans, Wes Matthews, Carroll. List continues to grow.

Don't get ahead of yourself. The Jazz have called up plenty of D-League guys that haven't been successful. There is no reason we should be convinced that the "list continues to grow". Also, Evans and Carroll's names don't belong next to Millsap and Matthews.

Kevin O'Connor does okay, but the Spurs are better at finding "diammond-in-the-roughs". Not only can they find guys, they can keep them on the team.

...nobody on your list but Sap could possibly by any stretch of the imagination....be referred to as a "diamond" in the rough! Have you been drinking???

...sign him NOW for next year at the minimum.....if he's as good as you say he is!

That is what Locke suggested that KOC is doing here. That he sees a guy that could be on the team and sign him now for the rest of the season with a team option or partially gauranteed for next season.

Locke also said that Leslie was the final cut from the Clippers this season. His last game before getting cut was against.....the Jazz.

There is a video of him singing Happy Birthday to Mo Williams on you tube.
Part of his rookie hazing I imagine.

Mo should be happy to have him around again. Travis seems like a really nice guy.

Help.

Utah can just cut Rodger, can't they. They just waive him and pay him the money. They don't even need to inform him, or ask his permission right?

Rodger has no power to be a villian does he?

Also, it appears that everyone is still guessing at what the Jazz are doing. I wonder if the players are all watching it?

Jamaal Tinsley hasn't received indication he'll be waived by Jazz to make room for Travis Leslie, a source close to the guard tells RealGM.

That would be about right for the Jazz to cut Tinsely and still keep Raja on the payroll.
I'd rather they cut Watson if they're going to cut a guard.

**** that. Earl all the way. Raja being on the team affects nothing.

Which is exactly why it needs to be Raja. As much as I'd like to not see this version of Earl (who will only trend in the direction of worsening [unless he's been playing hurt]) ever again, it has to be Raja. It has to be.

I agree. Not that either are any good, but Tinsley is a step above Watson and I'm still not sure why, for all the flaws the starting lineup already has, Cobin decided to replace Tinsley with Watson in it.

Yes they can. I'm sure the Jazz would inform him, although they certainly don't need his permission.

When I saw this on twitter I totally missed the hasn't. Then I read it again.
