The federation already declared he will not participate to the tournament due to his refuse of national team for elimination last year. He really disrespected all his team mates and coaches in national team even without telling any excuses. If he's playing in the NBA and was selected as 3rd pick, it's due to his performances in national team in European championships. His club career was zero.

I was really upset when Enes refused NT last year and I didn't approve how he (and his father) handled the situation. He's young. HE may be forgiven.
But after what I've been seeing this season, I concured that maybe it was in his best interest to stay in the US and he was followed a speacial training programme. He will be NT's one of the spinal bones in the near future for sure. He's a good kid. He needs a "big brother" to talk to him.

Generally, when the hearts are all broken and ****, and then the refusing player suddenly wants to jump in the NT train, he must wait the time for the association and management to change. In our conditions, we are talking about Turgay Demirel. He has been the foreman of the association as long as Enes lived on this earth and even a little more and keeps it on. I don't know man.

Come on. He was out of shape in summer, around 293 lbs. He said Summer league was hard and he wanted to work out and improve his game, which he did. What was wrong about that? Turkey needs him, he does not need the Turkish team. Kanter is by far the best Turkish player.
My turkish friend said the NT had the same coach as the Turkish club he played for. The same team did everything to make him ineligible to play College Basketball.
The same Turkish club also had Kanter's younger brother on his roster. They treated him very bad because his older brother Enes went to the United States to play Basketball there.
This Turkish club did everything to destroy Enes' and his younger brother's career. They wanted to keep him on a 6 year contract as well as other european teams, too, which he did not accept because he had one dream: to play in the NBA!
The Turkish NT organization did nothing to help Kanter in the whole fight with his former Turkish club. Maybe there are many douchebags in Turkey and that's why Kanter refused to play for the national team? Maybe he doesn't feel comfortable to play for the National team because of some people within the organization and for personal reasons?
They all wanted to destroy Kanter's career. They were only about what was best for them and not what was best for Kanter. If some people think only about their own interest, Kanter can do it, too. The outcome is great: he is in terrific shape and has improved his game.

Before the draft his agent Max Ergul talked to federation for Kanter that how he wanna contribute to the team, feel emotinal and ready to be part of the team etc. After Kanter played for youth national teams of Turkey, he chose to play in college even though there was huge risk he would be counted as a pro and we all knew what happened so his play in lithuania for national team provided him to show himself and proved his knee was ok. After the tournament and his rookie year, he talked to Harun Erdenay who is manager of the team and sent message to Turkish press that he missed the atmosphere and improved himself so is ready to be the guy and suddenly before the summer camp in orlando, he turned off his phone, his manager did not answer for any calls and before the day of national team meeting for the elimination, his manager declared that Kanter does not wanna play in the tournament so Turkey gotta play Kerem Gonlum who is 35 years old at the last min for him. Really bad professionalism, ethic and childish behavior of him. Noone was upset of him not to be playing for Turkish national team but quitting his promise on the last min without any excuse. So, he's exactly wrong about it, no doubt and no logical point for him.

Also, his brother is Kerem Kanter who is a 6'7 undersized PF lacking good motor, lateral quickness and consistent outside shooting but has got soft touch around the rim and perfect rebounder like big Kanter. So, he's not high profile and never took any attention like his brother. I do not think he can be an NBA player one day. So i do not think his ex club behaved bad to him. Even after some years, i do not think Kerem Kanter will be playing in European's elite clubs but we 'll see it.

Well, he was really in bad shape in summer before he started the crash diet and workouts.
You bring some good points, thanks. Didn't know so much. But does Kanter have ever said something to his protection? Do we know the whole truth? No.
I think you got some information from the media, which only interviewed one side. What about Kanter? We don't now anything.
I think there are big problems between him, his former Turkish club and the NT. I don't know why but my Turkish friend keeps saying that there for sure is more truth in it. Kanter could have had a bad experience with both of them and that's why he might want to stay away from them. We don't know the whole truth. We only heard one side so we shouldn't make any conclusions.

My close friend is working for the Turkish basketball federation and his source is Harun Erdenay so the truth is obvious about it. I do not know if Jazz organization wanted him not to participate to the national team but just summer league. I still do believe formal matches are always better than summer league matches. Also regard the fact that the date for European elimination was late enough for him to work out in USA and come over to the national team. Hopefully the crisis will be done after this summer and he will be big weapon for the next European championship against valanciunas. It would be cool to watch them battling against eachother under the rim.

That's right Enes didn't said anything himself about the issue except the tweet he made with a ripped new body alongside the text "My summer vacation". I think he looked misbehaved because of the false agent manipulation and media communication. Then he got upset of being in the shoes of the guilty guy and got mad at his own national association for showing him like that.
