Kanter produced nearly every time Utah played him big minutes (including last month's eye-opening 23-22 game against Charlotte)
 
I wonder if Simmons is trolling us?
He certainly seems to want to short-circuit intellectual discussion around here.
 
I think others can see how much fun this team could be with a halfway decent offense (like people moving around) and some defensive upside. Things are looking up for this team.

To be fair Jonas finished season very strong. 15/7/2 since March and ridiculous FG%, TS% and 85% FT. Jonas is a lock for 30+ min next season and I can bet he will have better numbers then Kanter.

Anyone can have better numbers playing for the Craptors.

But I agree, Jonas has been looking impressive lately.
 
Kanter could win MIPOY award if somebody would give him freedom and minutes aka Vucevic got. But with Jazz keeping Corbin and likely big AL is it very questionable. Plus it is a question how his shoulder will be after surgery.

As for Valanciunas, the promising Raptors big man who's been averaging a 15-7 since mid-March, here's a true story: When Sam Presti was quietly shopping James Harden last October, he called Toronto to feel out a Jonas package. And got rebuffed. Quickly.Our pal Chris Broussard told me this one and nearly made my eyeballs fly out of my head. But I got it confirmed — it's true.
