We could sign Chris Paul this summer. We could win the #1 pick in the lottery. Lebron could demand to be traded to the great state of Salt Lake City for a bag of salt water taffy and it wouldn't matter because we have one of the worst coaches in the entire association as our head coach!

Was there ever a game where he out coached the opponent? Looking back, was there a single game where his coaching won us a game? While, I can remember several where his coaching cost us

57 total, with 50 of those coming from Bogut, who hasn't been a big part of the Warriors' success, unless you count his replacing a healthy Monta Ellis as part of the Warriors' success in keeping their pick last year.

Only because they have a Top-3 coach in the Western Conference. George Karl isn't the best, but he has maximized the potential of that roster, and I don't think anyone disagrees with that. He should be COY hands down.

Have you even seen Corbin? His system... Both offensively and defensively? Sucks! Rotations? Horrible. Use of timeouts? Pathetic. Out of bounds plays? Non-existent. Motivation? Rarely do we play hard. Communication? horrid. the way he brushed off losses and pissed off fans was unbelievable. And overall improvement? Haven't seen it.

I can't even watch the Playoffs because of things like this. Every time I see other teams mistakes I think oh boy some one on Jazzfanz would so be all over the Coach, or one of the players for doing the exact same thing that I just saw player "x" do.

For example I couldn't enjoy that buzzer beater by CP to put the Clipps over the Grizz because of the few minutes leading up to that point. CP turned it over (Tony Allen steal I believe) and then also he had the jump ball and then when they won the tip he didn't know how much time was left on the shot clock and had to heave up an almost half court shot, the Clipps P&R defense to give Marc Gasol a easy dunk to tie the game. Also when CP did hit the game winner I was wondering how Mike Conley who was only 1-2 steps away didn't help Tony Allen and stop CP from driving.

Celtics vs Knicks I watched the final 6-7min of the 2nd Qtr and again I could name numerous examples (most obvious one was Pierces careless TO in the final 30sec of the 2nd Qtr trying to force a 2 for 1) and even the same game Thriller mentions I saw a lot of the 2nd QTR and again could point out examples of them doing something that would get the players or coaches killed here on Jazzfanz.

My point is if you are looking for something you'll find it or convince yourself you found it anyway.

Than Ty Corbin. Think Ty would have ever switched into a zone to slow down Denver's offense? Nope! He's motivating, got his guys playing disciplined, has a clear system and defined roles for his players, and is innovative in his strategies. Basically, everything our coach is not.

We can make all the changes to our roster that we want. Ultimately, we will need to find ourselves a coach. Sooner or later, we need to fire Ty and get a real coach.

To me, the crucial thing here is that Golden State improved dramatically over last year, made the playoffs, won a playoff game, and are in a position to win a first round series DESPITE starting and giving significant playing time to a rookie and a second year player. On the other hand, the Jazz FO narrative is that starting and giving significant playing time to the C4 would necessarily result in a drop in performance thus necessitating starting and giving significant playing time to journeymen veterans.

It's a real shame that we've wasted two years and ZERO playoff wins now before actually testing whether this narrative is accurate.

Of course other teams play rookies and young players and don't do well (e.g., Charlotte), but I'm confident that our younger players are significantly better as a group. Ok. You convinced me. Jackson is a way better coach. Ty would have never figured out how to tank that hard and get a top 7 pick, while still having a decent team who could have made the playoffs. Fighting over who's better between Jackson and Corbin isn't saying much. When shooters like Thompson and Curry get hot, you will see instances where that team looks like world beaters for one game. I'm sure if they shot 64% every night, they'd be world champs. Maybe this series goes 6 games. Maybe. Jackson is a scrub. Maybe he's better than Corbin, but it's not by much. On the nights Randy Foye was hot and 3's were dropping, Corbin looked like a pretty good coach too.

My point was more along the lines that no matter who would be at fault I can spot similar mistakes by other coaches or players in the game (players more so just because this is a players game/league).

As far as to what you said there is probably some truth to it and believe the Harrison Barnes comment may be close to true not really so sure about the rest.

Possibly true on Barnes. He would probably be getting Burks minutes. He has sucked for most of the year though. Maybe playing in a small lineup where he is technically the PF is better for him though.

Thompson would probably get Hayward minutes.

Who would Corbin play over Fahried? I would actually argue that he would get more minutes under Corbin because I don't think Corbin would want to go to small ball as much as Karl does.
