Following potential 2013 draftees

Archie Goodwin just announced that his goal is to be the best player in this draft class. Consider yourselves warned.

He, as well as 30 others, have a chance.

I've hated on Archie...but he won't get out worked or intimidated. He'll do what it takes and bring it all the time.. every time.

Who knows...

I wouldn't be surprised if we drafted two PGs with our three picks - I will guess the 2nd round pick will be a PG - just a hunch.

So it's pretty safe to say that the Top 5 prospects are: Noel, McLemore, Burke, Oladipo and Porter.

The next group of five *should* include: Bennett, Shabazz, Zeller, McCollum, and Gobert/Olynyk.

That makes our group of five likely to be: Olynyk/Gobert, Adams, Carter-Williams, and Schroeder.

If Len, Caldwell-Pope, Giannis or Saric make the the third group, that helps our cause getting Schroeder. Getting Shabazz or McCollum looks like a long-shot, unless the Jazz are somehow willing to move Burks.

Chances are, Carter-Williams will be around for us. I think he's a better shooter than this year displayed, and he'll be able to get us 8+ assists per game. I wouldn't cry if we drafted him - I bet he could shoot 35% from three.

I still have a good feeling about him. Kobe at 18 years old would have looked bad in a lot of pre-draft workouts. But you can't teach drive. I think Goodwin has plenty of it. If he's there at #21, I think we have to grab him.

I want a playmaker.. a heady PG that disrupts the defense and then makes a play..... far more than title of shooter.

But every player has glaring holes, so there is no obvious choice.. even at #1.

I think a lot of guys in this draft will last a few years in the NBA at the very least - not a lot of stars but a lot of good players - and (more than usual) non-lottery players should have nice careers.
