How dumb are West Valley Police?

You can convict someone with circumstantial evidence, which is all they had.

The jury has to find that there is no reasonable doubt that he committed the murder. Do I think he did it? Absolutely. If I was on the jury would I find him guilty? I doubt it. There simply was not a single thing that absolutely proved beyond doubt that Josh killed her and disposed of her body.

The case is now officially closed and the fact that they never arrested Josh Powell is just mind blowing. He had the absolute worst story ever!

-He takes his kids "camping" in the middle of the night during a snow storm on a Sunday night while his "wife is sleeping". He doesn't call into work that he won't be there. His only excuse is he thought it was Saturday night.

-He was having an affair with a prostitute months leading up to her disappearance

-Josh had his wife's phone with him and he had removed the SIM card.

-A drop of her blood was found on the carpet next to carpet that had just been recently cleaned

-Josh never went out and looked for his wife, while clearing out her retirement accounts.

-He had rented a car the day after the disappearance and put over 800 miles on it in just 2 days, why in the hell was he not followed?

Here is the link to the story. This is just crazy. That whole department should be ashamed of themselves. They possibly could have prevented the murder of the two boys. :(

Sorry, I'm going off without reading the thread.

The WVC cops are pretty stupid. You can find them dunkin' donuts at 7-11 all night long.

I agree with you, there are some items here that I haven't heard before.

I think it was a case of legal over-caution, the cops knew he did it, so did the attorneys who were making the case. But they did not want to risk having to let him slip out because of any question a judge or jury might think gave reasonable doubt.

That over-caution cost the kids their lives.

Concise, tried to rep. Were u serious about losing an arm bruh?

A lot of evidence that is suspicious but nothing that I have seen that is proof that he 100% killed her.

1. Prove that she is dead? Body?
2. Prove that she was murdered?
3. If so, prove she was definitely murdered by Josh and not her father-in-law?

For the record I do think he killed her but no concrete evidence on how and who killed her.
Precisely. Look, everyone KNOWS Josh was involved. But they can't prove it. Any attorney would have an easy time convincing a jury there was "reasonable doubt." Josh is SCUM and very likely a murdering POS. But legally, it can't be proved.

He killed his kids. He IS a murdering POS. There's no "very likely" about it.
