Following potential 2013 draftees

At the combine Clevland was raving about Porter. Tonight I read that that they like Len and he might be in play for the #1 pick. If I was Cleveland I would take either of them, then trade the 31st pick to the Jazz for Jeremy Evans, put 'Noel' on his uniform and sign him for $4mill, basiclly the same thing except Jeremy can score.

i wouldn't be surprised if more teams want to be rid of there pics this year ... i am sure jazz could move up if they wanted to..... Lindsey made the comment tonight they are looking at guys older then Hayward .. smokescreen possibly?
 
I would think taking on Marion's salary is more than enough. Lol if a bidding breaks out over the thirteenth pick pull up your pants a dnrun fast.

Jazz can take on his salary, can't they? It's just for next year - then they can let him walk.

It'll probably be Bucks vs Jazz. Schroeder would be a great fit for the Bucks. They avoid having to deal with Jennings' extension - they can probably get assets back by trading him. Moreover Bucks only have $40mil committed next year, they could absorb Marion's contract. Plus the Bucks are in the Eastern conference...

Then it'll be down to who's more willing to give up future picks... I just don't like that kind of situation.
 
Someone mentioned Boston and Milwaukee as possible bidders for the Mavs' 13th pick. Do they have the ability to absorb Marion's contract for a year?

I have a bad feeling jazz are going to trade burks to get a higher pick in this draft. I was listening to te radio and (I think it was Locke) said that he wouldn't be surprised if the jazz made a move that made fans cringe. Seeing burks leave would make me cringe :(

This would be the worst situation re Dallas picking #13. I'd be gutted if Schroeder goes to Bucks 1 pick before us... damn Cuban!! You sly fox!!

Jazz can take on Marion's contract. So can the Bucks. So what else would be needed to get the pick? It's worth debating.

Well if Mavs are looking to cut salary they probably don't want any players going back...

So as I said, I think future picks would be in play here... who's willing to give up more? I just don't like our chances in that situation. Also knowing we're in the same conference as Dallas would likely tip the scale Bucks' way.
 
I could see the Jazz offering #21 + #14 to move up. I think they would rather keep Burks than the #21 pick in this year's draft.
