Okay, I see we have come back to your rejection of any type of authority. This time it is directed at psychiatrists. I really don't disagree with most of the excellent points you make. Yes, the mental health field is over-reaching in conjunction with Big Pharma. I did undermine myself by including pelosi and reid in the sociopath category...liberals are their own special crazy...making decisions that negatively effect millions with little thought.

But we really do have a "predators on the loose" problem. If government ain't going to take care of it, as is their job, then what are they good for?

I actually relish questions like this.

My excuse for a thousand. . . or more. . . . replies.

The LTE is indeed alive.

more fertile ground for a lot of thinking.

well, actually. . . . you misunderstand and in fact mistake my point here. This is in fact a subset of my general theory of how man errs in idolatry.

There is only one valid "authority". . . . which some gentlemen have variously described as nature, nature's God, or more elegantly as "God". The rest of what we call "authority" is mankinds permissive if not licentious self-indulgence and vanity, perhaps locally recognized as "police mentality".

And it's not all bad. I suppose God leaves us to our own resources as a sort of self-teaching moment designed to show us on very convincing terms how much better off we would be if we really kept the first commandment.

and perhaps we do need to police ourselves and lock up our worst offenders.

Even FEMA camps for re-educating people could be done in a good way. For example, if we rounded up our last generation of political officials and government employees and put them in a FEMA camp and taught them a practical skill, like say plumbing. . . . .

But I'm concerned that if we as a society did a "War on Leaky Faucets" we'd end up with every kitchen and bathroom faucet running full force and beyond repair, just like our national spending.

I'm still here, and I have no lists.

well, I'd probably prefer the lists because somebody has to stop and think about what I'm doing. . . . . well.. . . uhhmmmm. . . . . as long as there is breakfast on the table.

and a clean house. . . . .

and somebody paying the bills. . . .

and somebody to talk to. . . .

and. . . .

and. . . .

and. . . . .

etc. etc. etc.

I got a 2nd opinion. My wife says she can't even swallow the thought of a horse-sized duck.. much less fighting one.
