It certainly is going to be a bit of a downer if Burks is dealt. I guess we will just have to have faith that they made the right decision if this does indeed go down. That is, until they give us a reason not to have faith.
 
The Jazz need to go with Dieng at #14, he has an NBA skill the Jazz need in defending the paint. Probably the best rebounder/shot blocker in the draft. Larkin or Schroeder can be had at #21.

In free agency the Jazz need to pick up a shooter, Korver and a point, possibly Mo?

How many times have we been to the playoffs in the past 3 years?

How many assets did we get last year when we traded Big Al and Millsap?

Did you see our great 3 point guards last year?

To me, it's actually the opposite. This franchise has no identity. It hasn't had direction for years. Complete lack of leadership on all levels. If anything, they need to prove to the fan base that they know what the hell they're doing. Because... Since the owner died, Jerry left, and Deron was dealt, they've been spinning in circles.

I didn't say they were perfect. I said you have to have faith that they will do the right thing regarding the draft. What else can you really do? Neither of us have influence on the decisions that are about to be made today. Rather than worrying about them, I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. If you don't feel like doing that, that's your prerogative. I don't let things I can't control anger me. Or I at least try not to.
 
Yesterday I broke the exact scenario the Jazz are looking at on McCollum. I just heard two more bits.

1) They're trying to get high enough to get Burke.. McCollum is option 2.
2) Also looking heavily at Zeller.

Eww. Def dont want to trade Burks and 14 for Burke
 
Yea if Burks is traded I will not even care who we get. How is Burke or CJ any better than Burks? Let Burks play and show if he can consistently do it. He will be a bigger asset to trade later if he pans out. Yea I know if he sucks then his value is low but you cut your losses and move on. I am sure the Celtics wish they had been more patient with Billups before they traded him. Give Burks the opportunity and I think he will certainly produce.

A lot of mocks have Burke dropping to 8. This puts the Sac pick into play for Utah.
 
I'm okay with Zeller, CJ, and (obvs) Burke for trading up.


At 14, I'm okay with Bazz-- but am pretty apathetic for the rest.
