What's new

Louisville, KY

PS: congrats to you and the old lady, Oreillycephalus. I definitely hope that my kids will be on track like yours.

You never know. My oldest was dead set against college up until the week before she graduated high school and all of the sudden it was like a switch flipped on. She didn't even take the summer off and dove right into school. Granted, it was ITT but I think for her personality it was the right fit. She had her bachelors by the time she was 22 and now at 25 she makes more money in a year than I make in 2.

The 19 year old seems to be just coasting through life at the moment. Has a full time job but still lives at home and doesn't seem to be progressing.

The 17 year old, she was the one I thought for sure would get married right out of high school and start pumping out babies. She started taking concurrent classes her senior year of high school and decided she really liked it so really dove in, finished early started college classes in Feb of last year.

I hope your kids turn out well too. Give them a good foundation and hope they make the right choices. That's what you CANNOT control.

You have 3 daughters? You poor, poor soul. I think I'd have a full head of greys by age 35 raising only one.

I think your last sentence resonates most with me. It's what seems to be common with most kids on the right track. As a parent, you just gotta raise them in the best environment possible, and pray that they don't veer off track

Some of the best restaurants in the country. Check out Bardtown Rd/Baxter Ave.

Check out Huber's Orchard and Winery across the river in Indiana (my family owns it).

New Albany, IN has become a very cool place to go in the evenings.

4th street live.

Churchill downs runs races near year round.

Lots of cool caves and stuff (biggest in the world).

She's already been told about the caves. I'll pass the others onto her.
