Do you smoke?

Some kind of balance is necessary I think. Yes we should not ban tobacco for instance, but we also should not allow the people make fortune from killing people slowly.

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people acting like they're dying because they got a whiff of cigarette smoke. I'm talking about holier than thou pricks who act like cigarette smoke smell ruins their day.

My friend does this. My friend was I think 13 when his dad died because he smoked. Any kind of cigarette smoke ruins his day. Do you consider him a holier than thou prick?

Yes.

Please let him know on my behalf.

Call me a prick too then. I hate it with my whole heart and yes it ruins my day too. I have asthma and a weak stomach and there is smoke everywhere here. Not even smoke itself but even the smell on people disturbs me as hell. There maybe some psychological effects too because of my past of smoking things. But yeah I'm totally a prick in this manner.

I've no answer to this, it's a nice respond. But at least they are food and not directly addictive. What's a cigarette? If it was consumed as much as fast food lets say in America, wouldn't it kill more than fast food does?

Nevertheless, the rich guys behind all of it doesn't care any of this, so yeah that's still a nice respond.

Did his dad die from walking past people who were smoking every oncce in a while?

How about we tax cheeseburgers @ $4 a pop. You want to know what kills more people than cancer, heart disease. So unless you have good cholesterol and get yer fat *** off the couch and go to the gym 3 times a week, stfu.

I think having taxes on saturated fat and added sugar would not be out-of-bounds, especially if the money was used to increase the availability and lower the price of healthier foods.

Pretty sure food scientists are specifically paid to make fast food and soda as addictive as possible.

Fast food and soda are designed to be as appealing as possible. The combination can be addictive.

I really would like to know if there was any chemical addictive additives in soda. I still can't quit drinking it.

You do realize that you will die? How many lives would be saved if America were vegan, and smoke free? 0

Now that we have that little tidbit of reality out of the way, how can you or anyone else have the audacity to decide what is good for people. I would rather enjoy a steak and a cigar and die a little early than become some neurotic twit.

Lol. By this logic the difference between living for 12 years and 80 years is 'minuscule cuz GUESS WHAT WERE ALL GONNA DIE!!!'

Also, your insistence on carrying yourself like an absolute *** weakens your takes (seemingly impossible, I know)

The average smoker doesn't die @ 12 they die @ 65. AS for Fast food I simply don't know how much earlier one would die. My lifespan weighted against my habits is my choice.

You're right about the *** thing sorry all. Just can't stand a nosy neighbor.

The major difference being: the impact of second hand smoke. This, coupled with medical costs that are already crippling a country in debt, lead to a society that frowns upon smoking, a habit that is wholly unnecessary. At least fast food has SOME justification, due to the availability of food present in a very rushed society that finds it difficult to set aside time to prepare their own lunches. Apples and oranges, IMO.

For the record: I haven't had soda in 5+ years, never smoked, but I DO have fast food from time to time.
