Obama Government Shutdown?

Anyone who claims that the Democrats caused or wanted this shutdown probably need to start paying attention:

Great advice. We called Senator Mike Lee's office and he told us it's either defund Obamacare or usher in socialism and betray God. So he's voting to bring on the apocalypse and have his Tea Party save us from eternal hellfire and brimstone, to hell with the livelihood of those involved and his sworn in constitutional duties as a senator.

His TP resolution was too strong for constituents to sway the vote. I'm sorry, I tried.

The failure of Congress to pass a spending bill has ground non-essential government agencies to a halt. As a result, the Chicago Cubs have announced they will be forced to cancel each and every playoff game they were scheduled to play during the postseason.

A Cubs spokesperson released a statement to the media, stating, “We were all thrilled for an opportunity to participate in this year’s playoffs, but unfortunately the situation in Washington has our hands tied, and we will be forced to prematurely begin our off-season. We felt very confident about our chances to take home the World Series this year, but this government shutdown, and this government shutdown alone, is responsible for us having to wait until next year to win it all.”

Reports are that no headway at all was made at the white house dinner between dems and repubs. Looks like this will drag into at least next week. Then we start approaching the debt ceiling deadline of 10/17.

Federal workers, dependents and programs are being offered up to score cheap political points. Absolutely disgusting. ****ing ********.

Please, they get paid in full in time. Some are forgoing checks or donating it to charity until this is resolved. Or at least that's what they say but to me their word is worthless.

Locally, reps. Matheson and Chaffetz have said that they will not accept their paychecks and will donate them to charity or something.

Anarchist Mike Lee however, has stated that he will continue to accept his checks.
