How is it going fellow JazzFanz bros?

Yes, I have not been on here for a couple months.

But, I have been keeping up with the Jazz still.

I decided to do Cross Country for the first time this year and I am finding success with it, surprisingly enough.

Basketball season for us in just three weeks, it is coming up fast.

Anyways on to the Jazz...

Trey Burke has been struggling with shooting, honestly I am not worried about it at all. I was a little saddened that he broke his finger, but weirdly enough I think it will be good for him and will help him find his rhythm again (as I didn't shoot a ball for 2+ months and came back and was hitting shots it was good for me). By the way he will be fine and he will be a contender for the Rookie of the Year award even with any time that he misses. Burke said he will be back in 4-6 weeks which is encouraging.

Derrick Favors signs an extension with the Jazz for 4-years 49 million dollars. Are you serious? What a steal, seriously. He could have easily gotten 12-13 mil a year from another team and frankly I was a little scared that he wouldn't want to come back to the Jazz (yes, I know he would have been a restricted free agent), by telling the Jazz not to match any offer. He is the future star of this team and here is to multiple all-star appearances he will get.

This should be a fun season and I am excited to finally see the Jazz playing the young guys.

*On a side note, it is really fun to use Trey Burke and the Jazz in 2K14.

Welcome back. Favors could have gotten 12-13 a year from other teams as 49/4 = 12.25 million a year.

I read it the same way you did initially.
Then I assumed he was saying Fav could have gone elsewhere for the same money but decided to stay with the Jazz.

But we would obviously match, but then again A has been gone a running and could be rusty.

so his contract is not a steal but a fair one?

on a side note; I wrote yesterday that his could be the new AK-contract for Jazz organization.
After reading all those posts written by knowledgeable "Jazzfanzers" (sic.), I stand corrected.

Except for the fact that AK's contract was more expensive by at least 5 million.
