It just isn't necessary for him to play SF for UK. Makes no sense to have Randle, WCS, and Dakari on the court at the same time.. but we will see it at some point I am certain.
Having said that, if you watch Randle play, he's essentially starting from the perimeter, making a spin or crossover to get by his man defender and then finishes strong against the help d. If they sag he shoots it. You will see the handles and passing to play quite a lot on the perimeter... he grabs rebounds and brings the ball up against full pressure... he has the tools.. I'm just continuing to question the infatuation with going BIG at a position.... when bb is about far more than that. I think he's better suited to out skill PF's than just out size SF's.
Yeah but for our team with Favors and Kanter already in place, Randle would be a perfect fit as a "LeBron type SF" (if he can play there night-in-night out, unlike Millsap).
He brings:
- HUNGRINESS (no other player in our team has this IMO)
- PSA (Premier Slashing Ability) - again no other player in our team has this ATM
- Instant offense in isolation (again no other player in our team has this IMO). This is what makes LeBrons, Durants, Harden, Wade the All Stars that they are.
- Legit All Stars Potential
- He will double our FT attempts per game
I don't like losing either Favors/Kanter, so slotting Randle in at the SF would be the ideal situation for OUR TEAM.
