Jazz should try and get Stephen Jackson

Gerald Wallace even though he's more a 3 than 2, JJ Redick has played very well for the past year, Josh Smith is a freakish athlete that would do well in our system. Danny Granger has been known to light it up. I'd love to get OJ Mayo or Stephen Curry on the team.

I could keep going, but I think you get the point. Age and salary are big factors as well, we already have an over the hill Raja on our hands.

Is Granger not on the market now? I thought I had read that the Pacers would be open to trading him this summer.

Also I'd think if Memo/Jackson could be done, then Memo/Granger could be done too, in principle.

Jackson is a great player, but I also wonder how he and Sloan would get along.

How do you figure Granger and Jackson are similar? Granger is much younger and a better player.

You could ask the same question about Charlotte and Jackson (knowing that while Gerald Wallace is their best player, Jackson is a close 2nd).

My point was as a refute of TICC's point that we trade Memo for Jackson. If we could get Charlotte to bite on that, why not - in this increasingly hypothetical phone call between GMs - go after Granger instead.

One of my earlier points still holds: I doubt Sloan would get along well with Jackson regardless.

Yeah it would be a great deal for the Jazz, but I think the CHA & IND GMs would probably just hang up the phone after those offers.

Probably while laughing at KOC.

But while we're throwing out names, what about Ariza or Kevin Martin? Could either of those guys wind up in Utah?
