You started this thread by saying that Randle was going to be a bust, then said that you can see him as a 20/10 type player... That would be perfect alongside Favors. You also bring up the point that he is undersized. Barkley was only 6'6 and Malone was 6'9, neither being a "massive" PF. Randle looks like a baller... that's all that matters. And Elton Brand was on some pretty $hitty *** bulls teams and clipper teams for the majority of his prime.

would you tank super hard for elton brand? IMO not every 20/10 is the same. some dudes bring more than 20/10 to the table. KG for example. zebo was also 20/10. is zebo worth the tank? hell we had al jefferson. is he the transcendent talent? he was 20/10 with minesota, and almost 20/10 with us.

i don't know. i'm just saying everybody expecting wiggins/randle to be a franchise savior - expecting them to be a perennial all star with legit chance to be top 2-3 in their position. i don't have that kinda faith. at least not yet. i have to see how they come through in the tourney. but so far, i think they still have long long way to go.

espn is pimping this year's draft hard, but except jabari(who i think will be a better melo who can play team ball), there are no sure thing. most likely we will end up having 6th to 10th pick, and i wouldn't cry so much about it. with trey ballin' this team will win some games. and even if we end up with most ping pong balls, we could just end up with 3rd or 4th pick. and from 2nd to 7th, i don't see major difference. randle is the guy who can immediately help, but we got favors and he is developing nicely.

bottom line i would rather see us playing hard and continue to develop our own young guys.

i follow most mock drafts. no mock drafts are perfect. but IMO nbadraft is decent. they are on par with most of websites i go to. they aren't as bad as you think.

Yes, Randle kind of sucks. 17 ppg 11 rebs, 52% FGs, gets to the line 9 times a game and makes a respectable 74% of his FTs. Oh yes, and he's just a frosh. What sort of production would it take, in your mind, to shed the "kind of sucks" label?

My opinion is based on carefully watching the games. Not a 5 second reading of a stat line. 17 pts isn't that incredible, specially when 7 of those are from fouls he gets for being physically dominant against most college bigs. I don't see how his strengths will translate to the NBA, specially when larger more physical college bigs can shut him down. He may grow into a great player down the road, but it won't be in the next couple of years.

i'm nobody's agent. i just love my boy trey. i went to Michigan and now i live in slc. so i mean it's like dream come true for me. lol

this whole tank thing really gets on my nerves. even if we have most ping pong there is no guarantee that we will end up 2nd. and when i look at #2 to #10 - all have potential to be great. i'll be happy with marcus smart at 4th. i will fine with gordon at 9th. i'll be happy with embiid at 6th. if randle falls at 5th i'll be fine too. bottom line i think no matter what happens we will draft a guy with major potential.

i'm secretly hoping for wiggins to go crazyl in march and beats out jabari. or randle to help kentucky to win it all. and maybe jabari gets hurt or struggle and falls to our lap at 3rd overall pick. could he fall to 4th? maybe if another guy steps up and goes crazy in march.

it's too early to tell, but i think only Jabari is the sure fire franchise changer. and IMO jabari fits the best. Imagine the support he will get from jazz fans.

jeff green is also a great athlete just like wiggins. easily top 10 in game dunker. quick first step, great length(probably 1/2 inch taller than wiggins), shown he can be a good defender, and respectable 38 vert

but can we call jeff green an elite athlete like bron?

in order for me to put wiggins as once in a generation type athlete, he needs to show me more. give me at least 44 inch max vert at 215lb at predraft. then i'll move him up the ladder.

You call those stats, I call it production. He's out there actually scoring points, actually getting rebounds, actually making 52% of his shots, actually getting to the FT line 9 times a game. Allow me to clue you in on something, if what you see while you are "carefully watching the games" is not consistent with what he is actually producing on the court, you may need to come back to reality.

And yes, Wiggins has a 44+ inch max vert. At the LeBron James Skills Academy this summer his vertical was literally off the charts (the device couldn't measure how high he was jumping).
