wiggins - let's all be honest here. this dude has a serious bust potential. he could be next tmac. or he could be just another 'potential' guy who won't pan out. I really have no idea who this guys is. and his athleticism is overrated. let's not act like young rudy gay couldn't do what he was doing when he was 19.
randle - he could be like cousins, but is cousins a franchise changer? i doubt it. and he will be undersized. i predict he will be 6ft 7 barefoot ish. maybe 6ft 7 1/2.
aaron gordon - potential is through the roof, but his offense is a major suspect. could be a beast down the road, but he will have 2-3 years of growing pain
marcus smart - could be d wade, or could be OJ mayo. who da hell knows.
etc, etc.
espn is pimping this year's draft hard, but except jabari(who i think will be a better melo who can play team ball), there are no sure thing. most likely we will end up having 6th to 10th pick, and i wouldn't cry so much about it. with trey ballin' this team will win some games. and even if we end up with most ping pong balls, we could just end up with 3rd or 4th pick. and from 2nd to 7th, i don't see major difference. randle is the guy who can immediately help, but we got favors and he is developing nicely.
bottom line i would rather see us playing hard and continue to develop our own young guys.
trey for ROY
TMAC suckjs
BORN loser who has great stats
dont need no tmac
Max vertical tests are not reliable at all. Russel Westbrook only had a max vertical of 36.5" and is considered one of the most athletic players in the history of the league. Want to know who also had a max of 36.5"? Trey Burke.
Then there are weird cases like this:
Michael Carter Williams
standing vertical: 31.5
max vertcal: 41
Harrison Barnes
standing vertical: 38
max vertical: 39.5
What to make of that? MCW wins the max but Barnes has the higher average by far. Whose leaping ability will better translate to the NBA?
i disagree. healthy tmac was a great player - top 5 in the league. at one point many considered he was the best player in the league - over kobe. he never had a right team around him, and he could never stay healthy. he noticeably lost a step after his first major back problem.
best player statistaclly.
but he plain is a loser. he had no winner/kill instinct.
he wa sjust a plain loser
another bad angle. and it only proves his vert to be about 38-39 inch ish. but again, he may not be trying.
^good post. Something verts don't take into account is bounciness. Time it takes to 'wind up' and reach that max vert. Some are just fast off the floor (think Evans). Also, time between max verts.. recovery. Springs.
Andrew Wiggins has THAT.
really dude?
How far did you get in your basketball career? Oh wait, you couldn't pass 1st grade spelling and grammar so they didn't let you play.
