I love those all.

I loved it when Stockton, Malone, Hornacek, and JSlo freaked out after "The Shot."

Who wasn't screaming "And one!!!!!!!" when Boozer dominated Yao Ming in game 7? Or when AK47 hit that 3? Who didn't want to go up into T-mac's face and rip him for failing to escape the 1st round (again)? Who didn't shed a tear after Dfish stepped in and nailed clutch 3 pointers against the Warriors? Who hates him now? Who would have loved to have seen Hayward deck Wet Willey Delonte? Or kick Barea's ***? Not literally, but show emotion/stand up for yourself?

Today's athlete is in a lose-lose situation when it comes to emotion and interviews. They can't show any emotions anymore without being called for technical fouls or unsportsmanlike penalties. They can't say anything in interviews or else they're "classless." Yet, we all criticize them for giving us "Boozer" robotic answers or being stonefaced.

Sports is an incredibly emotional thing. Let these guys express it. No one swore or ate a child. I thought it was awesome.

We get upset when players merely give us coachspeak. When players Boozer us. Everyone bashes the Patriots, Peyton, etc for merely giving us regurgitated emotionless quotes that you could copy and paste after every single game.

Finally, a guy does and says what you've always wanted, clearly expresses emotion after making by far the biggest play of his career, and he's blasted.

Just what the hell do we want?

Would we rather have him come on and Boozer us? "Ah yeah, I gotta give it to our front 7, they played hard. The Niners are a great team and I'm just fortunate to have made a play on the ball. I'm glad my teammate caught it cuz otherwise the Niners would have had more chances to win. I love Crabtree and hopefully we come together and win the Super Bowl. It's going to be tough. We'll need to step up."

I'm glad that someone finally said what you've always wanted to say! And it wasn't vulgar. No F-bombs. Pure emotion.

I wish just once, Peyton or Tom would let loose: "Hey dumbasses who constantly question my arm strength, athleticism, and legacy! I've been shredding defenses for decades now! Kaep and Wilson pass in 5 games what I routinely do per game! I can't help it if my receivers sometimes drop the ball (Wes Welker) or my defense sucks *** (Peyton's career). I made your franchise (up yours Ursay) and built your stadium. Hey, Rob Kraft, I made you all forget Drew Bledsoe real fast! Without me, it wouldn't matter who was coaching this team. I am a hall of famer and I dominate! Don't test me or I'll throw for 500 yards on ya! RG3, Wilson, Kaep, and Newton get all the ink but I own them all. Don't test me"

I'd rather the team I vote for win and show sportsmanship and class. I wouldn't mind them talking trash about the next team up. I wouldn't mind them showing emotion and celebrating their victory. But he is putting himself above his team. He's running around like a jackass with his hands around his throat. I don't want what you claim most fans want. I don't normally give a **** what the players say after games because it does not really matter. But the antics by Sherman and Belichick after their respective games is poor sportsmanship and what Sherman did makes him a douchebag. Show some professionalism, sportsmanship and class in both victory and defeat.

Crabtree was not putting himself above the team. That was his coach pumping up his player. I would have called out Reggie for that if I had even been paying attention. And I was a Reggie Miller fan.

Call me old fashioned. But there is something about winning and losing with sportsmanship that makes me respect the players more. I lose all respect for a player like Sherman and coaches like Belichick when they pull **** like this.

What did Belichick do or say? Just out of curiosity.
 
He said that the block by Welker on Talib was the worst play he has ever seen, Claiming that it was done intentionally to hurt Talib. Saying that he would leave the punishment up to the NFL. He said this unprovoked and was not asked about it. It was said in his opening statements about the game.

What makes it so despicable to me is that less than 10 plays before that his own WR made a play against a Denver CB that was worse than Welker's in which the WR launched himself at the defender intentionally. At worst it's the same play (both CB's were injured).

Just wondering, but those that liked What Sherman said. Is that the example of sportsmanship you want your kids to follow. And if you go to my comments from last weeks game you'll see I criticized Kaep for mocking Cams TD superman dance.

As a die hard Seahawks fan... I LOVE what Richard Sherman said. Man spoke from his heart after the biggest play of his life. He ****ing sent his team to the superbowl. There is a history between him and Crabtree and I think his emotions could have been a little bit more controlled, but **** being "classy". These guys are athletes, not ****ing politicians. That was badass what he did.

If my kid makes it to the NFL and makes a game saving play to send his team to the Super Bowl? Sure.

Otherwise, I will not be counting on Richard Sherman to parent my child.

I'm not talking about if they make the nfl... That rant was on network tv for all to see, and kids idolize pro athletes, who are role models to these fans and more. I'm old school and would rather see these athletes conduct themselves with some class. I'm on record being disappointed in Kaep for mocking Cam, and didn't like, but to a lesser degree Bolden's antics after every catch last week.

You can't tell me that if you saw that interview with your kids, that you would tell them that that's acceptable behavior being an nfl football player or a kid at school or playground.

Well, I don't have kids but I myself was a sports watching/playing kid and managed to not have my life ruined by the likes of trash talkers like Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, Gary Payton etc.

Your one example in the history of man. For every little UGLI out there, I'm sure there are plenty of Sherman's out there as well...

As for the dudes you mentioned other then Rodman, who is the scourge of humanity, most of there antics are talking and getting a little crazy during the game not after, and I've heard few interviews as bad as the one yesterday.

My 2 cents..... i have no problem what he said, just the way he said it.

He seemed so pissed off and angry at the fact that he outplayed crabtree and is now going to the superbowl.

Would have been better if he was like "i kicked crabtrees butt, they should have never tried throwing against me, im the best there ever was" all with a smile on his face.

He looked like a psychopath about to go murder someone instead of someone who just played a great game and was headed to the superbowl

Pretty much this. No need to piss off the interviewer and sound like a psycho. Mostly I disagree with what he did because football is a team game, and even though he made the last play, it took great effort from many people to get the victory.
 
If i saw the interview and had no idea who won the game, i would have though seattle must have lost and thought sherman was being a sore loser
