What's new

Food for thought

You are mistaken.

1) CarolinaJazz has received infractions in the past. If you feel he is posting things that should receive infractions, please report them.
2) If you're going to claim personal vendettas then you're going to have to name names. Who is that you think got run off the board by selective enforcement of the rules against them?

Honz and myself for joking about being in a fight.

Zing.

Zing.

You haven't been run off the board. Pretty sure your infraction count is sitting at one.

In any event, I understand you believe that I have a personal vendetta against you and honz. Trying to argue about that isn't going to be productive because you're not going to be reasonable about it.

Instead, please explain who the other moderators are that have a personal vendetta against you and therefore voted for your infraction.

I've had at least one moderator in this thread say that basically nothing I say should be taken at face-value. I find that demeaning, and indicative of his feelings towards me.

I've had another moderator personally call me a dumbass, attacks my intelligence frequently, and has essentially admitted he has a vendetta against me.

Personally, I don't care. I think if you want to have good basketball discussions, then you keep around the people who know their ****. People like Cy. Otherwise you start banning people for stupid ****, people get pissy, people start trolling because there's nobody to talk basketball with, and then we have the **** that we have now.

Oh, and since apparently it's ok to call people a dumbass...you're a dumbass, Nate is a dumbass, Colton's slightly awkward and socially inept but fairly cool, and Jason is fine with me. Oh, and you're an intellectual ******* who consistently acts like they're better than everybody else. In case you're curious why it seems like nobody in real life likes you, that's why.

I was mostly referring to the context of why you got your infractions. Because I've actually seen the dozens of reports you submitted and the obviousness with which the reported posts were innocuous it is difficult for me to take any claim that you were behaving innocently at face value.

I've had another moderator personally call me a dumbass, attacks my intelligence frequently, and has essentially admitted he has a vendetta against me.

I believe you've gone out of your way to antagonize Nate. That said, I can vouch for him that it hasn't affected his voting on any reports of your posts.

Fun story: Cyrone has a VERY lengthy infraction history. He also made alternate accounts, which is an instant ban around these parts. By complaining about Cyrone's ban in essence what you want is special treatment for Cy. We try to keep that kind of thing to a minimum because it makes everyone complain. In any event, Cyrone hits the 6-month mark in approximately 31 days. Given that Jason even gave HH a (second) pardon it's not exactly inconceivable that you'll be seeing Cyrone shortly if he wants back in.

Otherwise you start banning people for stupid ****, people get pissy, people start trolling because there's nobody to talk basketball with, and then we have the **** that we have now.

This sounds like a classic case of people needing other hobbies.

This is a bad season. It's just the way it is.

Oh silly hantlers.

The thing is, if the rules were consistently enforced, half of us would be banned. Sad thing is, bans are personal or no?

1) Enforcement depends on reporting. Most of the time I didn't even notice a violation until it was reported.
2) Moderators typically go out of their way to avoid voting on people they dislike. I used to abstain on votes about posters like write4u. I voted against warnings for aintnuthin more often than I voted for warnings.

You're just wrong.

I don't care about the rules at all. It is the way they are enforced that bugs me. You have obvious trolls like Carolina jazz and a few others, who the management refuses to do a damn thing about, and then they get this personal vendetta against a couple of guys and try to force their heavy hand into making the website exactly what they want.

Whatever else he is, carolinajhazz is not a troll. He has been posting the same way for over 15 years. He really believes what he's saying. Being unpleasant is not the same as being trolling. Also, when he gets warnings (and he has earned them from time to time), he tones it down or slows his posting.

You're just wrong.

Since you don't seem to know what 'personally' means it's rather easy to, at the very least, question your intelligence.

Can we just rename this "The Piss and Moan" thread? It really has nothing to do with food.

Or maybe if we call it "The Whine and Geez" thread it'll cover all the bases!!!!

Here's some advice.

Stop flexing your muscles.

I laughed, non-stop, for five months. Heavy laughing, yo.

They are making it not fun to post here or read the site.

And yet, here you are, posting and reading this site. Piss and moan all you want, but look at you, you love this kind of drama -- just like everyone else -- even to the point of feeding it. Stop pretending like it isn't "fun to post here" when it is clear that you think it is. Intellectual honesty: Get some.

Says the guy who makes it a habit and mission to go out of his way to demean, belittle, and personally attack one of our forum members who lives their life differently, and thus, incorrectly, at every opportunity. You're inconsistent, obnoxious, and one of the worst "holier than thou" persona's I've witnessed on this board in the last ten plus years. I wouldn't wipe my *** with you, or your face value. You should be thanking the moderating staff for all of the leniency they've afforded you over the years, because there is no way in Hell that you'd be allowed on my board (which puts you in some amazing company: Taint and PearlWatson). Bravo.

I've had another moderator personally call me a dumbass, attacks my intelligence frequently, and has essentially admitted he has a vendetta against me.

If the shoe fits...

Personally, I don't care.

Clearly. Tool.

I think if you want to have good basketball discussions, then you keep around the people who know their ****. People like Cy. Otherwise you start banning people for stupid ****, people get pissy, people start trolling because there's nobody to talk basketball with, and then we have the **** that we have now.

So, let's get this straight: You complain about unfair moderating and personal vendetta's, but in the next breath, expect the moderators to unfairly moderate one of your friends and give him special treatment. Serious question: Do you take medication for your intellectual disorder?

Oh, and since apparently it's ok to call people a dumbass...you're a dumbass, Nate is a dumbass, Colton's slightly awkward and socially inept but fairly cool, and Jason is fine with me. Oh, and you're an intellectual ******* who consistently acts like they're better than everybody else. In case you're curious why it seems like nobody in real life likes you, that's why.

The worst part about it, tbh, is that he is better than everyone else in pretty much every aspect. Very few can match him intellectually or monetarily. His education for exceeds the majority of this board and his palette of interests far exceeds what even ten of us together could muster. On top of that, he's one of the most generous people I know, who has done much for the betterment of this site, his friends, and for people in general than can be fathomed by a twit like you. A potato farmer from Butt-Crank Montana calling someone out for not being liked in "real life" is fan-freaking-tastic.

Since you don't seem to know what 'personally' means it's rather easy to, at the very least, question your intelligence.

Pot Head: 1

Board Dumbass: 0

Solid retort. No, really, that was well thought out and stated with the eloquence of a walrus quweef.

*edit* Nice edit, but a little slow.

When was the last time you posted in the Jazz forum again?

Pssst... you used to be a good poster before you got all bent out of shape. Please go back to that and forget about this nonsense.
