What's new

The OFFICIAL don't draft Joel Embiid thread

i currently see him more of just a tyson chandler player with much a much better outside shot, better post moves, better passing ability, more mobility, better hops, better free throw shooting, better hands, and only 19 years old.

iawtp

Embiid's best case scenario is becoming a possibly worse offensive player than he already is (Ibaka)? How is Ibaka comparable to Andrew Bynum? What?

And then he wraps it up with the Hibbert comparison. Literally was in awe of all 3.

Thinking Embiid shouldn't be drafted over Parker and Wiggins is one thing.

Thinking the Jazz should select Luke Babbitt over Gordon Hayward is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Yet everyone crucifies me....and all the other dumbasses on here get free passes...makes no sense.

Everyone's wrong sometimes. You're wrong all the time. You come back despite continually embarrassing yourself. That you don't see the difference is itself yet another embarrassment.

No one cares that you'd take Jabari first-- BUT: people care if you say "don't draft Embiid becuz Thabeet and Sene". Why do people care? Cuz that's the ****ing most stupid justification I've seen so far this year-- and now you're playing the "everyone just has it out for me" card?

Thabeet was supposed to be "the next great big man in the NBA".

Gets drafted behind another big.

The original discussion was that being a 7 footer in the league was rare.....which its not....I would dare say every team has a 7 footer on their roster.

This is a discussion you randomly started having with yourself when I said that all you knew about Embiid was that he was African and tall. You tried proving that being tall isn't a big deal, proving my point that you're talking about a player you know nothing about.

on the app. square bizness.

You talked about his elite skills, which I took to be implication that it would have something to do with his NBA career. If you're talking about him being elite at college level, that has nothing to do with anything. Elite skills from college translate to the NBA...how often exactly?

LMFAO.

Pls tell me you are completely new to following basketball or living life or something.

Well if that was really all you said in the OP then no one one would have a problem with it.

You made it seem like if you are from africa and 7 feet then we should stay away from him and then started with the thabeet comps.

Saying you would take jabari or wiggins over him is not something that would have made a 15 plus page discussion

I would take wiggins, then jabari, then embiid if i were picking

The OP was referring to the Jazz having the #1 pick. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough.

No...... I was having this discussion with BLine......try and keep up gramps. Turn up your oxygen tank.

Dunks and putbacks? I guess our standards of impressive differ. And his one assist is an airballed shot that a teammate put back.

Holy stupid.... In a 4 minute highlight video he had 3 total dunks, none of them putbacks (1 alley oop, another alley oop over someone, and a post up spin move dunk)

He also had a nice running sky hook, and a post up baseline 5 footer over the defender.

And 8 blocks shots.

The assist was an OBVIOUS pass to his teammate..... Cant believe you think it was an airballed shot.

But ya, nothing but dunks and putbacks
