Sorry is this has been posted before.
There was a thread on RealGM that brought up players who get easy and uncontested rebounds. On NBA.com there is a stat that shows how many of a player`s rebounds are contested. According to this list, Enes Kanter is the player in the NBA who takes most of his rebounds as contested - by far. 55,1% of his rebounds are contested. Number 2 on the list is Ryan Andersoson with 52,8% and these two are the only two players who are on the floor for more than 20 minutes a game with a percentage over 50.
What to make of this stat? I am not sure, actually. Is Enes bad at finding the right spots to pick up the easy rebounds? Does he get himself in trouble by always being arund other big guys, or is he just a way better rebounder than it may have looked like lately?
