Sorry is this has been posted before.

There was a thread on RealGM that brought up players who get easy and uncontested rebounds. On NBA.com there is a stat that shows how many of a player`s rebounds are contested. According to this list, Enes Kanter is the player in the NBA who takes most of his rebounds as contested - by far. 55,1% of his rebounds are contested. Number 2 on the list is Ryan Andersoson with 52,8% and these two are the only two players who are on the floor for more than 20 minutes a game with a percentage over 50.

What to make of this stat? I am not sure, actually. Is Enes bad at finding the right spots to pick up the easy rebounds? Does he get himself in trouble by always being arund other big guys, or is he just a way better rebounder than it may have looked like lately?

I am. If he gets smarter and finds those uncontested rebounds as well as keeps fighting for the contested ones, he'll average 15 rpg.

There have been numerous posts thrashing kanter for his lower rebound numbers this year. However when I watch games I notice that teams are sending two and sometimes three guys to try and boxout kanter. The other night when Jeremy evans played so well and had so many rebounds, I thought he owed kanter a thank you card because everyone was trying to block out kanter which left evans uncontested to rebound.

At first, he rebounded at an elite level. Impressive positioning. Elite strength. Just enough reach to be a great rebounder.

Then he lost weight. Gained speed. And ran for fast breaks.

Now he is pushing his matchup away from the rim. I would find that usefull if he is not a strong player right now coming off from injury. But if Tyrone tells him to do that, I'm sorry but **** his braincells!

It's a team game. Good post.

Have fun with this stage. You'll find it isn't as satisfying as was sold.

The player haters ball is my favorite sketch comedy bit of all time. ALL TIME. Moreso than anything on SNL or MadTV. Ok, it only slightly beats out SNL's Sean Connery on Jeopardy. But after that it falls off steep.

I have no clue what you're talking about. I hate SNL and MadTV .. haven't watched since Jimmy Fallon quit.

Who's your new avatar btw?

Chappelle show?

I would be way more impressed if he would lead in total uncontested rebounds not the %. Now compare his total of 3.3 to Drummond's leading 5.6

I know you are knowledgeable but I think
