1) Jason, for the love of Satan, clear your inbox. What kind of Mod God can't receive messages because his box is full? Yes, I just said your box is full.

2) I think it's rubbish that I can't change my username back to TroutBum -- you know, the name that has carried this site for almost a decade -- because I have one single infraction. Nevermind that I didn't have a single infraction during 2013 (favorable treatment, long leash, etc. TBPFHWY), the single infraction I DO have is from a post that I reported myself on. Is this how you treat your Premium Members? If so, I want a refund! (even if it was free)

Talk about unfair moderation.

Funny how you changed your name because of what I said that one time. Then you just quit the election race. What a waste of a name change that was.

This is less impressive when you consider the time you spent banned in 2013.

You're right, it was. I'm such a fair player and all-around nice guy, that I realized I crossed the line. I knew nobody would report it (I'm awesome, after all) so I took it upon myself.

I'm having a hell of a good time reading Hack's responses to things lately, and this thread is no different.

I don't get the infraction means you can't change your name thing. Is there some logic behind it or is it just another way to punish the naughty children?

Just like cutting your rep in half when you get banned (or taken to zero in my case), it's just another way to kick us when we're down.

I prefer calling it an incentive rather than a punishment. I suppose it's partly that. And partly it's to avoid the hassle of trying to remember who received infractions for what, when they've changed their usernames. (Mod1: "Didn't we give this guy a warning for this already?" Mod2: "I dunno. Who the heck even IS this guy?") And partly it's a feeling of, "Why should we spend our valuable time to change your username if you're not even living by the forum rules?"
