I have a cabin vacation in june and camping vacation in july already reserved so i can only go at very specific weeks.

I teach Monday-Friday all of June and I belize the first week on July, but after that I'd love to get back to Cobo !!

July 14th through like the 19th or 20th would be best for me......hopefully that is in pkm's timeframe but i will make it work no matter what
 
Anyone/everyone is invited. But there woukd need to be a set date range. Will be fun but also want some quiet time rather than drag things out over the entire stay... I'm sure u understand.

Takes about two weeks for a passport.. unless you pay an extra fee to expedite.

I like this. I'd like to meet all you guys, but I'd also want to get away at the same time as well. If I go, it's to sit, stare at the water in silence and turn the mind off.

Sounds great, and you are awesome for offering. Dates aren't a big deal for me, I can do it whenever. My biggest thing is after dropping all this money on the house, and I'd like to finish out the outdoor kitchen/patio/fire pit area this summer as well, I'd just want the dust to settle a little, take a deep breath, see I still have money in the bank account then come.
 
I'd very much be down for a big Jazz fans meet. but right now Cano, as much as I'd love to go, is not happening for me.

I'm flying. If anyone drives, I only caution to get a hotel in San Diego the night before, getting up real early, and making the trip during day light hours... the road to Cabo is dicey at night.... bandits.

That mid july time frame would be perfect for me!
Vegas bachelor party in may....... cabin for a week at a wyoming mtn lake in june..... camping trip for 4th of july weekend...... cabo two weeks later.

Best summer ever!
 
Whoever goes, you definitely don't want to drive if at all possible. The Mex 1 Highway is not very interesting. Occasional momentary bright spots of scenery, but there is nothing that interesting in the Ensenda to Cabo gap to stop off to or anything. And there are multiple military checkpoints, some seriously pot holed roads, overeager Mexican police, etc.

The entire 6 years I lived in San Diego I never went to TJ one time. No regrets.

When I was 14 my family drove down to Ensenada because one of my aunts moved there for some kind of reason. I had a little bit of fun. Expecting this to be better than that.
