Seriously trouty, go fishing in Montana...just once the family can roam around the wide open country or go to glacier national park. Fun for all.

You mentioned the Snake earlier; I've got 40 acres on Henery's Fork out of Ashton that is prime water. Been fishing it all my life. If you're interested in a summer road trip, that is a place worth going. We can float it in our pontoon boats or walk it. I know dozens of access points and hundreds of holes full of pigs.

Dammit Trout. I have been living in Rexburg for the last two years, and now that I am moving away this get's mentioned? If I would have known this about you, I would have offered to row a boat for you to fish from any time. I have been meaning to get out on the Henry's Fork and do some fishing. I bought a couple redington rods a couple years ago that have only seen minimal use. I get out near Hoback Junction every once in a while, but not enough to get any good at casting.

Part of me was BORN for that lake, but then I see this:

I've been to Alaska and seen the combat fishing there... I dunno if that's my game, tbpfhwy.

Idk, I haven't been out there much, but a good friend of mine fishes there weekly at least and he said this was a tournament of some kind. Most people fish off the other side of the lake where the deep drop-offs are to catch the monsters, or troll for them.

Holy YES! K.D.C. sighting confirmed!! For you youngsters, kdc was dropping thread bombs and mackin' innertube fools back when you were still feeding off the nip. You all should be honored that you got to witness a post from her in your lifetime.

Do you know where the Warm River confluence with the Snake is? That is our property from bridge to bridge and 35 acres on the other side. If you want some water that is not as intimidating and deep/fast that can be waded easily, put in at the bridge right above the confluence and fish up from there. IMO, those are the deepest and longest runs along the entire river, and I've fished it all the way to where it bubbles up out of the ground. Caught many 20"+ Browns along that stretch, some pig rainbows (there is a fish feeding platform about a half mile up from there, and there are 30"+ monsters that occasionally venture down that way -- think big streamers -- lots of sculpin in that river), decent white fish, and the occasional Brook Trout that finds it's way down from Robinson Creek (which is right by the feeding area). It's worth the drive from Rexburg, and I just gave you exact details on "my spot" that I've fished for 25 years. If you don't go try it, I'll be offended. Now is a GREAT time to go up there and fish goo-bug patterns and egg-sucking leeches. It has been closed in the winter for pretty much my whole life, but they changed the regs a few years ago. Other than the few times when I fished it illegally, I haven't fished it in the winter months -- but when I did it the few times when I wasn't suppose to... Yikes. Hungry Browns. My Biggest river trout caught on an orange goo bug, 26". Now go. Take pictures. Make a report. Hurry.

Oh, that is the funniest thing I've heard all day! Bwahahahaha!!!
