Sorry, didn't fully read your last paragraph. Kanter or Burks will likely not be with Jazz long term (Unless Jazz let Hayward walk or trade him). Not sure which one will be gone, and if it will be by trade or Free agency though.

Favors got paid based off of defensive ability and his potential to improve in that area while being capable offensively.

I really have no idea what Kanter would be paid right now and I struggle to think of any players that have had a similar situation as him. I can think of players that he would be valued to ideally (Al Horford), but I don't think he has shown enough for NBA teams to make that commitment. If I had to guess I would say someone would offer him 8 million per year. A lot of potential, but way more question marks than Favors had.

Did Boozer show that much more before we signed him? Teams also will have to sign him for a bit more if they want to pry him away. There are still a lot of ifs, and he probably won't make as much or more than Favors, but there is a chance it could be more.

Boozer averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds is 2nd year in the league.......

It will depend on what he does next year. If he gets a chance to start and utterly fails again like he did this year, he won't get that much. If he succeeds and continues to show promised, he could easily get paid like Favors, or maybe more. I see a huge range of possibilities for him. Will be interesting to see what kind of extension we offer him this summer.

Not comparing their games specifically to Burks, but all those players are known for their ability to score. Those are how much they get paid.

Failed utterly? He was averaging 15 PTS / 7.5 REB / 1.2 AST befor Marvin was available for god sakes. He was bad defensively but he utterly failed? Seriously? After coming back from a shoulder injury and as a first time starter?

Demar and Tyrke would represent the high end of what Alec would get IMO. Still one of those guys was ROY and had super-star potential, and the other averaged 18 ppg in his 4th year. Alec isn't near those stats over his 4 years. Yes, he has been given less opportunity, but he still hasn't put up those numbers. If he does put up those numbers in his 4th year, he will probably be looking at somewhere between 8-10 per year, but I can nearly guarantee 12 won't be in the convo. Glad you brought those up because I didn't think about them.

Gordon contract is super dumb and everyone knows he is vastly over-paid.

Not really though because Monroe has been starting over 75% of the games he has played. NBA teams know who he is for the most part.

Enes is still largely a mystery I think because of his inconsistency. Looked really good last year before his injury, looked awful to start this year, then took half the year to start looking good again.

Yeah, he failed. He didn't come ready to dominate. He took a step back in his development. He came in out of shape and didn't seize the opportunity.
