Embiid and Parker are Leaning Towards Returning to School

If you think that team is competing for the playoffs, you will be MASSIVELY disappointed. You could very easily keep this team just as terrible. Heck, starting Kanter over Marvin probably loses you 2-5 games right there.

Marcus Smart probably dropped 3 or 4 spots,
Jared Sullinger with his back issues dropped 10 or more spots,
Perry Jones dropped like 24 spots,
Terrence Jones dropped 5 or so spots
Harrison Barnes dropped 2 - 4 spots
GRIII will drop 5 - 10 spots at least
Mitch McGary, who knows?

Next year's draft is going to have some talented bigs at the top, including Okafor and Towns. Unless Parker has a POTY season, he's not going any higher next year.

When the Jazz are ready to compete again, they'll pick up FAs like Mo Williams, Randy Foye, DeMarre Carroll, etc., and they'll be back in business.

Look at the difference between Portland last year and this year. It's mainly through picking up a couple FAs and rebuilding the bench. The difference might be close to 20 wins.

Edit: I like that line-up you have. Now give them a real coach, a spot-up shooter and defensive player off the bench. They'll be in the playoff race, but it depends on how fast Wiggins progresses.

Remember, if Lindsey's goal is a title, and we aren't skipping steps, and the only model that we can realistically follow is OKC's, then we will suck again next year.

Plus, adding Wiggins to the team will sell seats. Even if we are losing just as much as this year.

And the NBA is printing money right now.

Now is the time to tank. The only model we can follow to win a title is OKC's. Expect another rough year next year, only this time, Lindsey will remove the Williams, Jefferson and Hayward's.
