I dunno, maybe because the offensively challenged Jazz sorely need someone that can "score"? Hayward wants to be the highest paid player on the team, so is it unfair to expect our "face of the franchise" to provide what is needed most by the team?
Brilliant logic. The highest paid player on the team must also be "a scorer". So, if Hayward is cut loose and the highest paid player is Favors, then does he automatically become the face of the franchise and is he expected to "provide what is needed most by the team?"
