As of Today, Parker or Wiggins?

I'm honestly not super excited about either one. Coaching style could be a big factor in who we pick. If I were a defensive minded coach I'd take Wiggins over Parker.

Isn't it funny how this darft was so hyped before the season started? We expected 3-4 can't miss SUPERSTARS and several other all-star types. Now I'm not so sure this draft is even as strong as it has been in other seasons. None of the consensus top-3 picks really dominated. All have major concerns.

Or where a freshman was his team's leading scorer and rebounder, took his team to the NCAA final after being named his region's Most Outstanding Player, yet many are putting him as low as 7.

I'd take Parker, he'd give us a legit scoring presence and a shooter that we need. I like his mentality too. If we want to get back to our winning ways we pick him.

I don't like wiggins bust potential even though his ceiling is supposedly higher. I'd love to get him, but expect another "tanking" season next year. It depends on who our coach is too.

I'll be happy with either player, but if the Jazz have the choice between the two, I hope they take Wiggins, and if they decide on Parker, it's because of his playing ability and not his priesthood.

The Celtics should be more worried about it, I'm pretty sure they have had more LDS players on their team than the Jazz, and I'm pretty sure the Jazz have drafted zero.
While I agree with this, people need to stop worrying about this.

Yup.

And it's more than just that. They look at what skills will translate to the NBA and what won't. What's fixable and what is not.

Look at McD. He's one of the top scorers in NCAA history and there's zero chance he goes in the top 5. He may not even go top 10. And it's not because scouts are retarded, it's because there's more to scouting NBA prospects than looking at a box score and tournament success.

I go back and forth on this question and change my mind every hour.

Parker has shown he can consistently score and rebound.

Wiggins has shown he can be a good defender.

Both have shown flashes in other areas but not consistency. Wiggins has scored, and disappeared too much for it to be a sure thing, even though I don't doubt he will score in the NBA. Parker has shown flashes of defense but has not consistently shown good man defense.

Wiggins was playing the position he will most likely play in the NBA, Parker I don't believe has been. No way Parker plays the 4 or 5, but he had to on Duke. I also think part of his slowness at times was due to his playing a new position and thinking too much instead of just playing free.

Both will be good, but if we got the #1 pick and had to choose I have reasons for both.

We already have a slasher in Burks and could use another player that could hit a spot up 3. Edge Parker.

We sucked on defense, not sure how much of that was apathy, but still we sucked. Edge Wiggins.

Both have shown they can make some pretty nice highlight plays to fire up their teams and the fans.. but I think I might say... Edge Wiggins.

We need a wing that can and will rebound. Edge Parker.

It really depends on what this team needs most, and if you think one is a for sure superstar. I really think both have a 75-80% shot of being superstars.

Bottom line - Jazz get #1 pick = Big win for the Jazz.

Its a completely understandable question as long as you grasp the motive. I knew that Wiggins would win in the polls, but I just wanted to know how big he'd win. Or How much love Jabari would get as the favorite over Wiggins.

They would both be great for the jazz and fit on the team for different reasons. You take either one of them and you cannot really go wrong.

It amuses me how people are saying that 1 is clearly so much better than the other. They are different but equal in my eyes.
