What's new

Rusillo, three scouts, and Embiid, Parker, Wiggins and Randle

Wiggins is overrated enough to drop to the Jazz at #5.

1. Parker
2. Embiid
3. Smart
4. Gordon
5. Wiggins
6. Vonleh
7. Some radon Euro
8. Julius Millsap
9. Stauskas
10. Saric

This is the order it should go.
I'd stay away from those "radon" Euros; they're toxic.

scout 2 is an idiot. embiid is not a true 7fter. hakeem was 6ft 10. so real difference between young hakeem and embiid is probably an inch at best.

anyway, health is a legitimate concern. just look at the 7fters around the league - bynum, oden, lopez, and bogut. it's a huge gamble.

wiggins - his lack of aggression is a huge concern. you want your #1 pick to be a ferocious tiger not a teddy bear. temperament is important in this league.

Embiid measured 7'1" with a 7'6" wingspan. Sounds like a true 7 footer to me.

Guys getting growth spurts at 18-19 years old isn't exactly unheard of.

I'd be more convinced that he couldn't possibly have hit 7' if we had these kinds of comparative pictures from the last six months.

Rusillo was on 1280 last night. Just listened to the audio. He thinks it's Jabari and Embiid 1 & 2. The next step down has Wiggins, Vonleh, Exum.

He thinks Wiggins has amazing athleticism, but can't dribble, isn't a lights out shooter, etc. He thinks he is a much bigger risk than Embiid and Parker.

I still really like Wiggins, but I also realize that if you expect him to come in day 1 and be amazing, you will be disappointed.

IF, HUGE IF, the Jazz were able to land Wiggins, I try to get Boozer from Chicago. It allows Wiggins to have a year where he isn't the #1 option, you have a go-to offensive player that can carry you, you have a good supporting cast around Wiggins, and then you can either bring Boozer back on the cheap or let him go after this year.

And as far as 16-20 ppg scorers, Boozer is CHEAP to get. Especially if Chicago wants Carmello.

This gives you:

Burke/Neto
Hayward/Burks
Wiggins
Boozer/Kanter
Favors/Gobert

If you get a vet PG to be the backup, and another that can defend and hit the three at SF, you have a really good shot at the playoffs next year.

What that does, is it allows Wiggins to come in, defend, run the fast break, be a secondary scorer and have someone to turn to if he gets in trouble, and buys you a year to work on his game, mainly his ability to dribble.

If Wiggins can learn to dribble, WOW. If not, no one will know who he is in five years (ok, maybe not that dramatic, but you get my point).

Careful, you don't want to step all over the holy person of The Wiggins. You will be lololol'ed if you imply he is anything but Basketball Jesus.

Where have you been..... that was weeks ago.

Now its trendy/popular to be down on wiggins

This Wiggins can't dribble angle is being wildly overplayed these days. Wiggins isn't the greatest ballhandler ever, but he can hold his own for a guy at 6'9". Secondary to that is the notion that Wiggins can't shoot (especially considering so many touting Parker's amazing shooting ability - Wiggins 34% 3pt, Parker 35% 3pt).

To be fair to Parker's shooting %, he didn't get to play with Embiid.

Embiid is clearly taller than Withey.
