Just watched some more highlights. Saw a lot of good passes by Favors and solid play from Burks. I bet they make the jump next year as serious players.
We need a real coach first and foremost. Then, watching those highlights, it had me thinking maybe I like Smart at 5 more than Vonleh only from a "immediate impact/we need a killer to lead this group" standpoint.
I keep going back and forth. Exum dropping would obviously change things.
I know that a lot of fans are down on the young guys right now, but I still love their potential together. I still think that there's a good chance that any/all of the Core5 guys (Hayward included) are capable of improvement. Gobert looks like a keeper too. Add one or two stud rookies and this team could get really good in a hurry. They're young right now, but they're also vets too. They need to keep playing together and gaining experience. Chemistry and coaching will do wonders for a talented group of young players.I agree about both of them..... and m i believe kanter might make the jump as well.
Add in improvement from trey, plus a better bench and the jazz might suprise people.
Not to mention an upgrade in coaching and a high draft pick in a very good draft
Bigs are just so valuable. It won't surprise me in the least bit to see Vonleh move into the top 3 after workouts happen. Either that, or it might make a team more willing to trade back a few spots.Watching this clip makes me think that Kanter will come back better after a healthy offseason-- and makes me hesitant to trade him given that we'll probably be drafting Vonleh.
Damn damn damn. Wish we would've snagged a top-3 pick.
Exum dropping would obviously change things.
How? Playing at SG when he can't shoot? Starting him at PG will do us wonders?
Yep. The Jazz are just a couple lead scorers, a couple decent perimeter defenders and a couple decent shooters away from being a good team.Yeah. Quite honestly we have a decent amount of talent.
