Decent game. The US played a slightly better game as a whole, but their defense worries me going in the World Cup. Turkey had way too many chances to score, got unlucky on a few of them. I don't think Portugal or Germany will be as forgiving.

Soccer's too exhausting for me. When I was a kid I had some friends that were in comp leagues, and I learned to hold my own against them.... but still frickin exhausting.

Weird, I always felt the same thing about basketball, especially when I first played it. I think basketball requires more energy.

Nice recap. 5/7 shots for US vs 9/23 for Turkey and 43% possession vs 57%. These are not good signs against a shorthanded Turkey squad for the World Cup. And statistically Turkish players won more of the duels and tackles which is also alarming because Turkey is definitely not a good team physically.

Though stats mean way less in soccer than it does in Basketball. Overall UGLI's team was better on the field and they deserved the win. I believe that USMNT can still do good in the World Cup if they don't overrate their group and trust themselves. I know it's a hard group but it's not impossible.
