Whoever picks Parker, I'm going to try to pry him away from them. I have concerns about his defense, but I think he could eventually have a KD type of impact for the Jazz.
Take the best player on my board at 5 and then try to put together a package to get Jabari. I'd prefer to keep the Core members of the team intact for now, add Parker (or Wiggins) to that group and then let the new coach mold the team in his image.
Parker, Favors, Hayward, Burks, Kanter, Burke, Gobert and Neto would be a pretty damn good group of young players to start out with. Add another rookie from the mid-to-late 1st round this year, Tomic (if you can buy him out), Marvin Williams at a discounted rate, Jeremy Evans, Diante Garrett and possibly a free agent or trade acquisition (from all those 2nd round picks. . .
I think they could be very improved in a short period of time. The best thing or the Jazz is for Vonleh and Exum to continue to impress and move up the boards. Exum is all projection and Vonleh is the 2nd best big in the draft. With Parker's known defensive liabilities, I can see a team favoring one of those guys and counting on their upside to justify them as a top 4 pick.

If Exum and Parker are there when the 5th pick comes up then Utah picks Parker and then Jazz should throw the kitchen sink at Boston to get the 6th pick and get Exum.
Maybe our next year 1st along with Kanter and a 2nd rounder? Maybe Neto/Tomic rights?

As far as comparisons, i dont have any.
however using your common sense, what do you think would be better for your football/basketbal career?
A. Walking around in some craphole country eating a horrible diet and getting tapeworm.
B. Playing basketball or football everyday, lifting weights, recieving coaching, eating a proper diet.

That's a damn good question. I'd start with draft picks - 23, 35, 2015 first round pick and I'd consider giving up one (or both) of the 2017 picks as well. But that's for a top 5 pick.
I'm not as high on Exum as many, so I'd probably just focus on adding Parker.
If Orlando takes Jabari, I work hard to convince them to make a swap and give up 23 and a bunch if 2nd round picks to hopefully pull it off. Then just like last year, I'd give 35 and cash to buy a pick as high as possible.
If they pass on Parker, I make that pick in a heartbeat and then try to package 23, 35 and my 2015 first round pick (top 5 protected) to move up into the top 8 for whichever of Vonleh, Gordon, Smart or Randle that I can get my hands on.

Eaassssyy, people. As it stands, it's most likely that Exum and Jabari will both be taken before the 5th pick. Can't believe we're talking about drafting both.
Is there a problem with that? It's not like any of us think it'll happen. We're bored...

Exactly. The 2003 draft was pretty much set through the first 4 picks. LeBron to Cleveland, Darko to Detroit, Carmello to Denver and then Bosh to Toronto. First big surprise of that draft was Wade moving up to #5 - most had him to Chicago at #7.
This draft will likely be the same deal. The top four should be some order of Embiid, Parker, Wiggins and Exum. The only real wild-card looks to be Noah Vonleh. If he somehow impresses enough to work his way into the top 4 picks, then one of Parker or Exum should be available. I doubt that Parker falls past 3, but I wouldn't say that it's outside the realm of possibilities for whoever takes Parker to be willing to work out a deal with Utah for Exum/Vonleh, 23 and maybe the 2015 1st round pick. Essentially the same deal that the Jazz paid out to grab Deron Williams. Right now, the Utah Jazz need it to be a consensus top 5. That's the only way that somebody might be willing to deal.
It might be worth waiting out all of the smokescreens to see who (if anyone) actually picks Jabari in the top 5 - if he's your target. Just make sure that you know in advance what you're willing to pay to get him at #2, vs. #3, vs. #4. If I'm DL, I have a different value for each pick. I want to get him, but I don't want to gut the team to get him, unless it's necessary.
