A tiny bit of inside info

Burks doesn't lack 3pt shooting. He might not be a floor spacer, but he can hit shots from deep for sure, especially off of spot ups. Not sure you will ever really run screens for him to get 3pt shots though.

This
Burks has a funky shot (low arch, no ball rotation, elbows too close together) but if he is open and you kick it to him he has no problem making it.

He will not ever be a shooter like novak, hood, beal, jimmer, korver.... and hayward is easily a better shooter than burks (despite some of his bad shooting years) but he is not a liability at all like a ronnie brewer, josh smith type of clanker.

I wouldnt say burks outside shot is a strength (like cy said, he isnt a "floor spacer") but its not a weakness either

My original point was in a lineup with Exum, Hayward, Favors and Gobert, IMO, you need a pure 3pt shooter in there to make the lineup more balanced and to space the floor.

To me Burks isn't that guy. Therefore I think he's a 6th man material for our team and if he's gonna demand starter's money then I don't think DL is gonna keep him.

I love the kid but Jesus, this board needs to seriously relax on the Gobert is the next Bill Russell talk. If he underwhelms, which I'm thinking he can only do at this point, 90% of the board is going to be put on suicide watch.

What a joke..Every team tries to be like Spurs.. you call this info? Next thing is your info will be the Jazz are looking to win a championship...

Shut the hell up!! What do you want, he already said it was just a small tidbit. The fact that I don't feel bad about telling you not to be an *** is shocking, as I'm one of the biggest asses on jazzfanz, but then again so is the fact hat your rep is -831, and your still allowed to post here, that's shocking! So don't be an ***!!!!

Thats true.
If that is your starting lineup then shooting is more important than what burks provides.

We will see if DL assembles a roster with 2 starting bigs that cant shoot and are very limited offensively or he wants one of his bigs to be able to pull the defense away from the basket. (In which case burks skillset might become extremely valueable)

Rumor is KP had a promise from OKC had he stayed in the draft.

I really hope Burks is in the fold going forward. He has an elite ability to get to the basket, and that is a skill that will never go out of style (and may be necessary on the wing alongside Gordon Hayward).

I really like a long-term backcourt rotation of Exum, Burks, Hayward, and Hood (+backup PG). That is a long, athletic group that can handle the ball, shoot, get to the rim, and defend.

KP probably going top 10 in the next draft so 21 was not high enough for him.

This is how I picture PKM and ncjazz. PKM has the glamorous life; ncjazz is bitter because he got the short end of the ugly stick.

The real NCJazz takes offense. :)

The real NCJAZZ is 6'11". Thanks

Would be pretty awesome if we can grab him. Seems like there is enough talent at the top for KP to slip down to around 7-8. Hopefully we are bad enough next year (for the last time).

Burks was a 40% shooter from 22-24' 3 pointers last season. His problem comes when he steps a foot or more outside of range (29% from 25-29'). Take out his endoshot heaves (he had 13 vs. 2 for Hayward) and he shot a solid 38.4% combined from 22-29'.
