Jazz players at the World Cup

Tomic (Croatia) v Gobert (France) tipping off now. On ESPN3 which means there should be a replay if you can't watch live.
It's also on nbatv

He's really putting Croatia on his back right now.

Somebody definitely needs to post that 4th quarter. That was good stuff for Tomic. I can see why the Jazz haven't actually dragged him over here kicking and screaming though too. He's kind of sketchy everywhere else except post offense. Kind of stiff. France trying to put 6'7" Petrus on him after Gobert got schooled wasn't going to work.

I wish Croatia didn't get knocked though so I could get a better look at all of them. My one Saric takeaway is that he is a major spazz, and that's not something you see on his highlight tape.

What is Enes doing now? In his basement playing with his dumbbells? Meanwhile Omer Asik got the #2 place behind the USA only playing alongside a bunch of scrubs. He is on a contract year too, makes $15m this year. It's tough! He keeps getting fouled hard quite often. Attempted 16 FTs the other night. Head, arm, shoulder.. all kind of contacts, you name it. Dude won't even blink. Talk about toughness and heart.

Well that is aşık we know. Always giving his heart.

4 good games tomorrow. Brazil vs Argentina will not be very neighborly and the almost neighbors Serbia vs Greece should be an excellent game.

Is it too soon to say that Spain ought to be the favorite in this tourney? Their single weakness is size on the wing and the US can't really exploit that. USA won't be able to control tempo. Spain is too smart, too experienced, and too good at passing. Spain's teamwork is a thing of beauty, both offensively and defensively; their key players have been playing together for so long. USA may enjoy a slight advantage among the smalls, but I think Spain's advantage up front will be large (despite the greatness of Anthony Davis). The best bet for the USA is if they manage to neutralize the Gasols and make Rubio into a jump shooter. That will be easier said than done.

Spain were passing to much to begin the game giving up good shots to pass to their teammates. Faried will be giving up a lot of height on P Gasol. We will see if they both indeed get to the titile game if Coach K will make use of all the centers and play them together.
