Gobert with a nice first half. 2 pts, 4 rb, 2 blocks. One block he was guarding on the perimeter, got beat on the drive, but was still able to recover and get the block much like AK use to do.
.... let's hope he doesn't make it a habit then.

It's also on nbatvTomic (Croatia) v Gobert (France) tipping off now. On ESPN3 which means there should be a replay if you can't watch live.
Tomic is having a great game. Showing off his skills in the post.
He's really putting Croatia on his back right now.
What is Enes doing now? In his basement playing with his dumbbells? Meanwhile Omer Asik got the #2 place behind the USA only playing alongside a bunch of scrubs. He is on a contract year too, makes $15m this year. It's tough! He keeps getting fouled hard quite often. Attempted 16 FTs the other night. Head, arm, shoulder.. all kind of contacts, you name it. Dude won't even blink. Talk about toughness and heart.
Is it too soon to say that Spain ought to be the favorite in this tourney? Their single weakness is size on the wing and the US can't really exploit that. USA won't be able to control tempo. Spain is too smart, too experienced, and too good at passing. Spain's teamwork is a thing of beauty, both offensively and defensively; their key players have been playing together for so long. USA may enjoy a slight advantage among the smalls, but I think Spain's advantage up front will be large (despite the greatness of Anthony Davis). The best bet for the USA is if they manage to neutralize the Gasols and make Rubio into a jump shooter. That will be easier said than done.
