Who are we tanking for?

For the bitches who only think about this year after year without realizing that it ain't necessarily a ticket to the 'Promised Land'

That might be my stance by draft day, too. Similar players.

Winslow is a more versatile offensive player with an improving shot (it's much better than when he was in HS), plays great defense, rebounds, good size...and he's just a leader. His teams win. Very athletic player too. He jumped over some guy to block a shot once, that was pretty neat.

Heaven forbid we think about the draft, a chance to add talented players to our team. Oh the catastrophe of enjoying such a thing.

Someone might want to let Snyder know that the Jazz are tanking then. 5-5 over the last 10.

But some tough games coming in the next 10. @ OKC, @ HOU, v. ATL, @ SA, @ CLE, @ CHI, v, GSW. Only promising games are the Lakers and Pacers come to town and @ Minny.
Ebb and flow of the schedule. The only surprise was the win vs. Memphis. Without Alec, maybe Jazz lose some of the games that were once very winnable (@ Minny, home vs. Brooklyn, etc.).

With more bad teams this season, 25 wins may not be good enough for the fifth worst record. Obviously, if the Jazz get a top-3 pick, they take BPA (Okafor, Towns or Mudiay). Outside of that - in the 4-9 range - I'd say someone like Johnson, Russell or Porzingis. They're all players who could complement the roster we have or even be starters down the road. I wouldn't even be opposed to drafting WCS. That could be a dominating presence at the 5: Gobert playing 25-30 and then bringing in WCS. Just take BPA, regardless of position, and make roster adjustments if/when that player pushes for playing time or even a starting spot.

So last year we were shooting for Wiggins or Parker. But who are we shooting for this year? Obviously, we aren't going to be picking near the top. So if we had our dream scenario, who would we take at #9?

We need another ball handler who can create (since Burke cannot and Exum hasn't shown an ability to do so), we need another 3 pt gunner, and you can never have too many bigs.

Who are we tanking for this year?

This thread would be a good place to figure that out:
